This oil smells great and works great. The oils soften your skin, pull the hair up so you get a closer shave, and after your done shaving your skin feels great.

The smell is wow
First time using a pre-shave oil but what a massive difference it makes! The smell of sandalwood is amazing. Highly recommend this as a pre-shave step and pre-shave product for others to use as well.

Smooth
The pre shave oil works on tough hair. It softenes it before you shave. The pre oil also softenes the skin around the hair follicles so that it doesn’t leave razor bumps or cuts.

I really enjoyed using The Art of Shaving Lexington Gift Set Pre-Shave Oil. I never really used pre-shave oils in the past, as I just use a wet face but was willing to try this product to see if it made a difference and it did.

Great pre-shave oil when used properly
I started off using this pre-shave oil by applying it to my dry face before shaving. However, it felt a like uncomfortable when applied this way and it didn’t seem to work too well. Eventually, I tried applying the oil to my wet face after already hopping in the shower (I shave in the shower). Once I started doing it this way, I actually noticed a difference in the shave. My face was definitely smoother and the blade was able to shave more closely. With that said, I wasn’t in love with the fragrance. I think it works better with the shave cream and the after shave lotion than this one. Ultimately, this would be 4 stars if the instructions were a little more explicit and told me to apply the oil to a wet face.

Great shaving products
Not having a normal shaving routine and weird facial hair made me absolutely hate shaving. Starting a routine and incorporating these products makes shaving almost enjoyable. I never knew ache post shaving oil and it leaves my skin soft and with less breakouts.

Things you didn’t know you need
Discovering this was like opening the Pandora box, it was my first time having a pre-shave routine and I’m in my late 20’s. It makes the shaving experiences so much more pleasant and you get to achieve that clean shave easily! I highly recommend this!

Decent product but needs improvements
I did enjoy the experience but it was missing a few key elements. The razor was not included, not sure why it was not part of this experience. The directions were not in order for the oil. And the brush was not that good quality.

Elegant scent and quality products
The Art of Shaving products are on a league of its own when it comes to shaving products. It lathers well with or without a brush, and unlike other shaving creams, I never get little nicks or irritations. The Sandalwood scent is light and pleasant. I only like to use a drop of the oil before applying the shaving cream since too much can leave the area too greasy. The after shave balm adds a nice refreshing feel but like the oil that comes with this kit, I only apply a small amount. Shaving is a lot more elegant and fun with this kit.

Pre Shave Oil
Pre Shave Oil from the Art of shaving, is an excellent way to soften your beard prior to shaving, to give the closest shave with out cutting your skin. also has a nice masculine scent.
