Solid dog food
I liked the ingredient list and size of the kibble. It was easy for my dog to eat it. Unfortunately she did not care for the flavor so we will try another brand. I like that this is available at most pet stores and online.

Dogs Enjoyed It
My dogs will seemed to enjoy this dog food. As soon as I opened up the bag and put it in their bowl, they ran up to it and started eating it. It's nice knowing that they are eating a dog food that is healthy for them.

Good product nonetheless
My dog was excited for the food for a couple days which can be seen by eating immediately. But after he didn’t eat right away and just sniffed it and ate it later. I do like how the food is a great size for a small breed dog and I love the ingredients is everything I can actually read. I’m not sure if my dog just wasn’t a fan of this particular flavor but I would recommend to try it because I is a quality product.

Surprised
I must say I was hesitant as my dog is small and needs a high quality food in a small quantity to maintain her health. She took to this food immediately and I was surprised.

Buttercups new favorite food
When ordering product I was surprised with the price of the bag of food but I do have a small dog so she doesn't eat a ton. She absolutely loved it. I was buying her food that wasn't as healthy and a lot cheaper. This has protein rich premium animal ingredients (cage free chickens and turkeys). I also like that it shows on the bag it's made in the USA. The bag also comes with a Zip top to seal it back up to keep fresh. Definitely notice my buttercup coat looking nice she just overall seems more healthy and active as well. Now I'll be spending $40 instead of $10-15.

Dog loves it
My dog seemed to like this dog food. It's hard to review something I'm not trying but my dog certainly gobbled it up. I'm glad it doesn't have a strong dog food scent also! I would continue to buy this since my dog enjoyed it.

Great overall!
2 of my dogs tried this product! 1 of them loved it and the other not so much! Overall I think it’s great and I think the ingredients are better than “traditional” kibble. Would buy again!

Small Dog Approved!
I received this product from Acana and Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest review. My dog can be a picky eater but he didn’t really mind eating this kibble, so it’s a win! The food we tried had smaller sized kibbles for small dogs. It contains a decent amount of protein without artificial ingredients. It also includes whole grains, eggs, turkey and chicken. Acana is made in the USA, too!

Tasty meal for the doggo
I have a picky small dog (20 lb). He is willing to go all day without food to prove a point to me. I've tried 5 other brands and so far he really likes this ACANA brand the best so far. He prefers the small kernels over the larger ones. I personally can't speak for the test, but his poops look very good and regular. He's a lowrider dog that picks up everything on our walks. So I'm glad there's naturally occurring omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to help with his coat and skin.

Wholesome grains
The Acana Wholesome Grains small breed dog food is perfect sized kibble for my 10lb dog to eat. I love that this food is made from fresh chicken, oats, eggs and turkey and has no artificial colors or preservatives it even includes fruit and veggies. My dog seemed to enjoy the taste as do my cats as they try to eat it also! The bag is resealable and convenient to store and lasts longer than I thought as you don’t need huge serving sizes.

Mr. Finicky actually likes it!
It's good to have options for a healthy dog food that has quality ingredients AND my pup will actually eat. I was actually surprised he would even try the Acana brand, but he did and seems to really like it! He did have a little digestive upset to start even though I did a gradual transition, but is back on his normal poo schedule and his typical happy self! I will keep mixing this in with his other food for the variety.

4.5 stars - wholesome canine cuisine
I'm always switching up my dogs' diet trying to find the best dietary balance for their needs. Acana is a brand we know & trust, so my 4 pups and I were definitely glad to test out a free sample of Acana Wholesome Grains Small Breed Recipe dog food when we got the chance. What I love about this dog food: it's dry kibble so it's easy to feed, but contains fresh-frozen raw meat for a natural dog diet, along with healthy grains and none of the questionable stuff like peas. Our vet told specifically told us that while grain-free is great for our cats, studies indicate that dogs need some grain in their diet to avoid heart issues, so we make sure to seek out foods that meet that requirement. Acana Wholesome Grains is a great choice there. I also appreciate that the small bites are easy for my pups - 3 out of 4 of whom are under 15 lbs - to eat. My dogs definitely approved of the taste, too! I only wish this had some texture variety for my pups who love crunchy bits.

He loves it
Our miniature poodle had no issues transitioning to this dry dog food. Pleasantly surprised with no gastrointestinal issues that usually accompany in food switch-outs. So I have to say that speaks volumes to the quality of the dog food and the nutritional value it peovides.
