Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Our master distillers select spirits from five different cask types, including ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks and large Oloroso sherry butts. rich and smooth
I loved the rich and smooth taste and how premium it not only looks but taste too very authentic and great over ice with cola as a mixer I would definitely be trying again I would definitely recommend this whiskey to anyone.

Full Bodied and Diverse
I’m not an avid whiskey drinker but I do have a fondness for it. My family are Scottish and I have lots of memories of my grandad having a wee dram. I’ve not had the pleasure of drinking Laphroaig whiskies before and was excited to try this The colour is deep golden and glistens like the sunrise reflecting on the sea. It has a pleasant rich aroma of Peat smoke, ash, seaweed, sea minerals, citrus and dark chocolate It has a prominent smoky, musty woody and medicinal taste like tcp or clove. The bitter, nutty and salty chocolate works nicely as there’s a chilli bite. There’s a lovely underlying slightly citrus flavour . It’s full bodied with a short, dry flings and a long sweet aftertaste. I quite like it although as I said before it has a lot going on. If you like a Smokey whiskey that’s smooth then I recommend this.

A great scotch
This is a great scotch whisky. It had a really rich scent upon opening the bottle and whilst I don’t drink scotch straight, I did taste a small bit without any extras and it tasted really smooth. I tried this with diet cola and ice and it was good. However, when I had it as a ‘Scotch Sour’ (a whisky spit with scotch) it was absolutely delicious

Laphroaig Lore 1815 Whiskey
Laphroaig Lore 70cl 48% whiskey. I absolutely LOVED this whiskey. Such a rich Smokey slightly salty taste. Really nice. I drank this neat with a little ice, and also in a ‘Gold Rush’ cocktail. Both were amazing!! This whiskey is delicious. So tasty! I would absolutely recommend this to others to try and I would LOVE to buy this in the future. Highly recommended!!

Glorious bottle of Whisky
This whisky is absolutely delicious! Upon opening and pouring you get a lovely nose of sweet smoke. The Lore is amazing and has great depth, each time I have a dram I discover new flavours in the background but the very smooth sweet smoky taste is always there and reminds me of marshmallows cooked over an open fire. Do not be put off by this dram not having an age statement. The bottle states that this is a blend of younger whisky with some old and “most precious stock”. I understand that the Lore contains Whisky aged up to 21 years and you can definitely tell this when compared to other Laphroaig’s I have tried such as the quarter cask and ten year old. This is much smoother and more complex in the flavours it provides. Definitely one to be savoured over time. This Whisky tastes a lot more expensive than it actually is. I have tried a number of whisky’s in the past and in my opinion this is way better than a number of higher priced ones I have tried.

Firstly I love the packaging. It arrived quickly and intact. The bottle size is generous too The fragrance of the whisky is flavoursome and it really has a smooth taste to it.

Fancy a nightcap?
I’m rather fussy about whisky and hadn’t tried this one before. I’m happy to say it will now hold a permanent place in my alcohol cupboard. The bottle comes beautifully packaged and would make a lovely gift for any whisky lover. I poured a splash neat on the rocks, the whisky has a beautiful honey colouring and the smokey tones come through in colour and taste. I also used it to make a Manhattan and an old fashioned but on the rock gave the most authentic taste.

It's Laphroaig, but turned up to 11!
I've always loved Laphroaig, but had never tried Lore before. Lore has that familiar smokey aroma and peaty flavour that I adore, but amped up to the max! It's a bit stronger than the "regular" Laphroaig at 48%, and you can taste that. I usually drink whisky neat, but just a half a teaspoon of water to this makes it much easier to drink. It slips down an absolute treat - strong, smokey and so very delicious with a tiny hint of sweetness following as well. If you like Laphroaig, then you'll love this. If you don't like Laphroaig, then the chances are that you might not be such a fan of this either, but this is an absolute joy to savour slowly of an evening. Probably best enjoyed in front of an open fire with snow falling all around and something delicious cooking, but equally good in front of the TV or reading a book!

Rich and well flavoured
One of the most richly flavoured whiskies I have ever tried. A little too strong in taste for me, but I would definately buy again for anyone with scotch tastebuds. Strongly recommended for anyone looking for the perfect rich taste at a fairly decent price and beautifull box as a gift option

Very nice whiskey
The bottle comes in nice packaging which looks premium. Upon opening the bottle the smell is pleasant, I found there to be a bit of sweetness and smoke to it. This comes through when drinking it along with some chocolate notes. It has a good complexity with a good blend of whiskies. I would recommend this whiskey as it is nice to drink.

Top Scottish Malt Whisky
Great tasting Malt Whisky very smooth sweet deep. Warms you like a cosy duvet. Taste lingers into chocolate Whisky flavours. No improvement needed wonderful. Definitely recommend this Whisky.

Exquisite tasting whisky
Being a huge fan of Laphroaig whisky, this did not disappoint. It had a delightful smoky, peaty flavour that I say sums up the Laphroaig brand. It was extremely smooth to drink.
