Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

4.7 5 0 58 58 Created using techniques that have been passed down for generations, this single malt Scotch is made from some of the most precious whiskies in our Atlantic storehouse. Our master distillers select spirits from five different cask types, including ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks and large Oloroso sherry butts. Aged anywhere from seven years to 21 years, each spirit brings its own element — and lore — to the blend. The result is the richest expression of our unforgettable peated whisky.

Single malt
First of all , Thankyou for choosing me to test this whisky .. this single malt has a Smokey peaty taste than captures the island of Islay in a single mouthful , it’s a beautiful golden colour , not too strong as to burn your throat, some single malts can be like that , but this is smooth and tasty . Highly recommended .

Rich and smooth
This whisky is my new favourite from Laphroaig. It is moderately peaty, very rich, with a pleasant touch of candied fruitiness and an exquisitely sophisticated dark chocolate aftertaste. I prefer it neat with a drop of water to intensify its smoothness and depth of flavours. It is a perfect whisky for any occasion and would also make a great gift.

Great whisky
This whiskey is great. It smells good, is pleasant to drink, leaves lovely taste afterwards. In my opinion is a drink to enjoy on its own due to its age and the taste palet. I would definitely be getting another one.

Gorgeous bottle
Thank you for sending this . This whiskey looks amazing . Sparkling gold, this rich and smoky Scotch tastes of fall days by the ocean with hints of ash and bitter chocolate. A long, sweet finish and spicy chili tingle make this dram utterly unparalleled. Serve neat, or over ice.

This Whisky is a go go
I tasted this with ice and cola and the combination really complimented each other. I also tried a glass with crepes suzette and I was so impressed with the pairing. This is definitely on the top of my list from now on

Smooth Different Taste
Have drank this a few times. On the roads and also with a lemonade mixer and like the unusual flavour a lot. Does taste strange and smells medical think this is the hind of iodine, strange mix of flavours but very morish. Will continue to buy this in the future

Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch
Big, full, complex, and yes, rather rich. There’s no real weak spot here, although the green pepper note on the palate is a little more prominent than I would personally prefer. Compared to other sherried and heavily peated single malts, this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Not my personal preference.
LAPHROAIG LORE prides itself from being ages for 7 to 21 years but in my honest opinion my bottle seemed rather young and under developed. However that is not that it was lacking in flavour it's the peat and ash notes were rather over whelming and tasted almost medicinal reminiscent of TCP as the main aroma and taste that is at the forefront of you palate, however there are sweet notes almost vanilla and dark chocolate undertones but it's was found only because I was keen to find something to appreciate by a crafted whiskey and leave a review that hopefully would appeal to those that prefer peaty whiskey, I prefer double oak matured whiskies personally which this is missing the death in flavour. I didn't enjoy this drink at all.. It will be sitting at the back of my cupboard for a while.

Smokey but a nice smooth taste
When you open the bittle you get a very deep peaty smell. I don't really like the peaty taste so was think oh no, but surisingly this is not a harsh peaky drink. It has several layers of taste. A smooth opener and then a stronger feel after a few moments.

Lovely smokey flavour
I love this whiskey, it has a nice Smokey flavour to it which is not too overpowering. Nice a smooth to drink, I would highly recommend even if it is little expensive. One to have in the cupboard.
