Wattie’s Very Special Soup Creamy Pumpkin

Yummy and good basic soup, good to eat with a side of bread

I was asked to sample and review this soup. This came at a great time as it is currently winter and I have been making my own pumpkin soup. I haven't had canned soup before, so I was excited to try it. If I am completely honest, I wasn't overly impressed, but it was nicer than the Campbell's variety. When compared to a home made soup, it just doesn't compete. For people who are used to more processed style meals, I think this would probable be a good option. But for me, I will be sticking to my home made soup.

This pumpkin soup tastes just like homemade and is ready in under 15 minutes! It's a convenient option for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner on cold days. The steam-cooked can locks in the delicious flavor, making each serving taste fresh and comforting. Adding a bit of black pepper makes it even more delicious.

This soup is tasty, nutritious, and perfect as lunch or dinner on a cold day. I had this soup when I had a cold and it helped me feel better and provide nutrition to support my recovery.

I really enjoyed this pumpkin soup from Watties. I found it reasonably chick and creamy, and not too thin or watery like some tinned soups can be. It had a nice pumpkin flavour and wasn't too salty. I really enjoyed this with some added cracked pepper and a pinch of grated parmesan on top.

The packaging is very enticing, and this soup proves to be an excellent pumpkin soup base that can be fancied up with different condiments. The texture is very silky and the flavour is good. It is easy to prepare and there is enough to serve two people for lunch.

i love pumpkin soup, but i didn't love this one. it was edible overall, but we didint really enjoy it too much and it felt liek a chore to finish the whole can. the consistency was nice spices a bit bland, and it had a odd aftertaste

In my opinion this pumpkin soup was quite nice, and I would eat it again however I did find that it lacked taste once I compared it to the other pumpkin soup I had tried. I narrowed this down to the amount of cream/dairy taste that it had more than the other products. Watties is a trusted brand in my household. Usually does not go wrong, but in comparison to Campbells brand, it is too creamy/milky. Maybe I did not stir up the inside enough before dispensing the product in to cook. If that is the case user mistake.

After reading the cooking instructions (which were easy to follow) on the tin I placed the soup into a pot to cook it on the stove. I was careful to make sure I followed the instructions, gently stirring and not boiling to ensure I did not burn the soup. I poured the soup into the bowl and began to eat it. The aroma of the soup was very pleasant and not too over powering. I found it smooth in texture, not too thick but yet not too runny, overall very pleasant on the pallet. I love pumpkin and found this soup to taste exactly like the vegetable itself. I tend to read the nutritional information and like the fact that per serving it contains ony approx 4g of fat and approx 20g carbohydrates. I have always been a fan of pumpkin soup and generally make my own but after trying this soup it will definitely make its way onto the grocery shopping list. Very impressed with this product.

This is my favourite flavour with toast. Gosh nothing nicer than on a cold winters day to heat a warm bowl of soup. You can either prepare it in the microwave or on the stove top

So great when you’re sick, it never fails to make me feel better! Recommend!

I’m a big fan of pumpkin soup and this tasted just like homemade soup unlike some packet soups that taste artificial.

I dont normally like this flavour of soup but was pleasently surprised when i enjoyed this. Goes well with bacon bits and a dash of cream.

We have used this watties brand for a few years now and enjoy it. It’s great for a super quick lunch or as a base for a more complicated soup option. Good serving size
