Campbell's Butternut Pumpkin Soup
I was asked to sample and review this soup. This came at a great time as it is currently winter and I have been making my own pumpkin soup. I haven't had canned soup before, so I was excited to try it. If I am completely honest, I wasn't overly impressed. When compared to a home made soup, it just doesn't compete. For people who are used to more processed style meals, I think this would probable be a good option. But for me, I will be sticking to my home made soup.

At first glance, the soup looked appealing and had a nice consistency. Unfortunately the taste was pretty average. It did have quite a processed flavour compared to other canned pumpkin soup varieties.

Healthy warming soup
This soup is perfect to have when you're unwell, when it's cold, and to have a nutritious meal. The taste of pumpkin isn't too strong and the texture is smooth. I will buy this product again.

Campbell's Butternut Pumpkin soup
Overall this was a nice tinned pumpkin soup. It was thick enough (not thin/watery) and had a nice pumpkin flavour. There was something about the texture that was perhaps a little artificial, which wasn't my favourite - I love it when pumpkin soups have that nice thick and creamy texture like you'd get when it's homemade. This felt like the texture of being thickened with cornflour. The taste was nice, however, and it was great with a little added salt and pepper.

edible but not my fav soup
this soup was slightly more delicious than the watties soup, but again it was not my favourite overall. it was edible, but we struggled to finihs the can across 2 people. the taste was a bit bland, it had a weird aftertaste the consistency was nicer than watties (as it was less thick) you could probably spruce it up with a few home ingredient additions such as bacon, some spices etc

Butternut sweetness!
I loved this product of pumpkin soup. I did find it sweeter (and tastier) than the watties brand creamy pumpkin soup. This one was much more flavorous and had the ingredients more mixed together compared to the other brand. Personally, if I was not to be reviewing this product I would have picked the Watties out of the two as it is a trusted brand, but Campbells brand did blow me away. Will buy this one again!

Not a fan
After reading the cooking instructions (which were easy to follow) on the tin I placed the soup into a pot to cook it on the stove. I was careful to make sure I followed the instructions, frequently stirring and not boiling to ensure I did not burn the soup. I poured the soup into the bowl and began to eat it. I found the texture of the soup somewhat grainy, a little thick, slightly bitter and generally unpleasant. I struggled to finish the serving. The positives of the soup was it was approx 2g of fat and approx 16g of carbohydrate.

Great for baking
Used to bake chocolate cake yes weird but I swear try it in cake recipes you won't regret it makes it so moist. Would I eat this stright most likely not but I do bake with it
