Perfect for loads of things
A really versatile, tasty can of tomatoes, perfect for anything (from curries to cottage pie). The crushed and sieved cans are great for sneaking veg into picky eaters as there are no chunks of tomato. These cans especially don’t need too much balancing like many others do (eg. Extra sugar etc.), which is awesome and makes for a quick dinner. All around a great canned veg to add to the repertoire!

Great Product
We tryed this with meat balls. Absolutely delicious, will definitely buy this again. I just added some garlic gloves to give the tomatoes a little more flavor.

Wattie's Crushed and Sieved Tomatoes
Crushed tomatoes are a staple in my pantry. Normally I will blend them in the can with a stick mixer before adding them to whatever I am cooking, so I was excited to try this product. What an absolute time saver! These are smooth and perfectly blended, so it totally removes the need for me to blend them myself. I love them

Great can of tomatoes
I used this can in a recipe from Cookidoo with my Thermomix. I made the Middle Eastern Chicken with Pearl Couscous. This recipe required 400g of canned tomatoes, so this can was the perfect size and made the flavour of the dish taste great! I’d definitely buy this again!

Good quality
I used these tinned tomatoes for my lasagne beef mince sauce recipe and they really added a great tomato flavour. Conveniently already crushed and sieved all I needed to do was add them to the mince add a few herbs and done, yum! Only down side is the tin… would be better as one of those easy open pull tabs

Great addition
I always love adding chopped or diced tomatoes to my curries, lasagnas or stews but never thought of using crushed and sieved the tomatoes. My initial thought was, that it would be a very runny consistency but it was actually thicker than I thought it would be. The tomatoes were subtle in taste, not too salty or overwhelming and gave just the boost my food needed. I would definitely buy it again if the price fits into my budget.

Missing the tomato pieces
I do enjoy eating Watties products so was interested in this variety of canned tomatoes. We used it as part of the base for a meat dish served with Polenta and it sure looked and tasted good. However, while the flavour was good, I can’t say I enjoyed the sieved nature of the tomatoes. Being sieved, it also made me wonder what parts of the tomato were lost in the overall product and flavour. If someone as a preference, or out of need, didn’t want the ‘bits’ in the crushed tomatoes but still have the flavour then they would enjoy this product.
