Good Nasal Spray Product
A good product of a nasal spray gel that coats the nasal passage and captures the virus in the gel. You then blow your nose, to clean it out.

Vicks First Defence
I almost always get a runny nose at least once a year and like always the kids somehow bring home first. We're a busy bunch and I knew if I got sick I didn't have time to stop and would have to get on with it even if I got sick. So as predicted, I got that usual funny feeling the my throat one night and straight away I used the Vicks First Defence spraying it twice up my nose, The next day I would usually have the running dripping nose followed a few days later with a phlegmy cough and feeling like death. This stuff must really do something good because I somehow managed to avoid the inevitable this time around!

Not convinced
I regularly use nasal sprays but I do not like this one. The aftertaste lingers for such a long time after, it’s impossible to enjoy food or drink for quite a while. It gave me an initial clearing of the nose but I think a cough drop would have done the same. It did not seem to halt the progress of my cold.

Actually Works!
Vicks First Defence worked for me so I love it. I woke up one morning and had some congestion, a lumpy throat and the typical feeling you get when you know you're getting sick. Perfect time to try Vicks! I sprayed a few times in each nostril, making sure to do it on an angle so the side of the inside of my nose got sprayed (do NOT spray directly up! Massive nasal pain and a headache will ensue. Read the instructions carefully before using. I learnt the hard way!) as directed. That was as far as my cold/flu got! My symptoms were gone later that day and I didn't think of it again. Marvellous!

Cold fighting nasal spray
I think the idea is good but sometimes a cold comes on so quickly it's hard to catch those first early signs, once my cold was full blown I am not sure how effective it was

Stopped my cold before it developed
Vicks First Defence knocked an oncoming cold down before the symptoms could fully develop. I had a sore scratchy throat and sore ears with muscles aches developing and I took 2 sprays in each nostril 3-4 times a day and found the cold never developed....I just experienced a mild sore scratchy throat for 3 days and that was it. I noticed about 45mins after taking the spray that my throat became numb and not sore at all. It has a very strong typical vicks smell and taste but you can feel it doing it's job and I'm very happy with the vicks first defence nasal spray and will always have one in the cupboard for when I feel a cold coming on as I've never had a product work so well and stop the cold in its tracks.
