This was my first time using an air fryer. I cooked roast potatoes and dim sims. Took a little to get use to the display. Not having printed manual and needing to use the mobile was a little tedious. I also found the mobile app for this model didn’t have any recipes online listed. I haven’t yet used the steaming option. A design flaw I believe is the inability to take out the baskets when there is food in them. It’s possible to take the draw out, but if tipping out food any oil or water that has accumulated below will also come out. But using the large utensil to take out the food overcomes this. Overall good machine if you have the bench space or can put away. That said, I probably wouldn’t buy it.

Grand and versatile air fryer
The Philips 5000 Dual Basket Air Fryer offers some standout features but falls short in key areas. The steam function is a novel and excellent bonus, allowing for more versatile cooking. The dual baskets are convenient for cooking different items simultaneously, but their small size limits the amount you can prepare, which is disappointing.
I successfully cooked a variety of foods, including breakfast egg muffins, chicken, duck, chips, and pasties, with good results. However, the lack of a basic hard copy manual with cooking suggestions and timings is a major drawback. The online manual is lengthy and inefficient, making it frustrating to navigate.
The companion app is another letdown. It's poorly designed, clunky, slow to load, and not logically organised, making it a chore to find recipes. I’d give the app a 2/5 rating.
While I’d recommend the Philips 5000 Dual Basket Air Fryer to friends for its versatility, I wouldn’t repurchase it due to the app issues and small baskets.
I’ve been using the Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer, and I’m really impressed with its versatility! The ability to steam and air fry at the same time is a game changer for my cooking routine. The dual baskets can be set to different temperatures, making it super convenient to prepare different dishes simultaneously.
One downside is that it requires a bit more washing compared to a regular air fryer, but it’s a small trade-off considering how much it reduces cooking time overall. I do wish the baskets had a ceramic coating or were made of stainless steel instead of the current coating.
The app is a great addition with some useful recipes, but the selection feels a bit limited—and for many recipes, you need to buy extra accessories, which can get frustrating. It would be great if the app had a sorting feature specifically for recipes that use just the baskets.
Overall, this air fryer is a fantastic kitchen appliance, and I’m happy with the results it delivers!
Using the Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer has completely transformed my cooking experience. I love how its dual basket design lets me cook two dishes simultaneously, saving me so much time. The air frying technology delivers perfectly crispy results with minimal oil, which is a big win for me as I try to eat healthier.
The controls are intuitive, and the preset programs make cooking even easier. Cleaning is a breeze since the baskets are non-stick and dishwasher-safe. It’s spacious enough for family meals yet compact enough for my kitchen counter. Overall, it’s efficient, versatile, and a must-have!

Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Airfryer
By far the best air fryer I have used. I’ve tested it on quite a few recipes now and it’s fantastic. It’s also very stylish and fits into my kitchen perfectly.
It is a great product that combines an air fryer and steamer in one appliance. The cooking results for both air frying and steaming are excellent. The HomeID app is also available to download to give you recipe ideas and a base guideline for using the appliance.
I tried to cook several dishes from steamed vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, dumplings, and even rice that can be cooked in this appliance. Using the recipe from the app as a guide for temperature and timing helps me to get that perfect steamed vegetables, easy-to-peel-boiled eggs, and fluffy rice.
However, some recipes require a specific attachment that is not included in the standard package; therefore, you need to obtain one or be creative by using what you have at home.
Printed detailed product manuals however not included in the box, you need to download one or get it from the app. For some people maybe it is a bit difficult to read the manuals that is not printed.
Overall, I am satisfied with this product.
I recently tested the Philips Airfryer 5000 Series Dual Basket with Air Steam, and I’m thoroughly impressed.
The standout feature is the steaming function, which made perfect pork dumplings effortlessly, rivaling a bamboo steamer. I also used the airfryer function for chocolate bark and chicken with winter roast vegetables. Both turned out excellent, the chicken was juicy with perfectly caramelised veggies and for dessert the chocolate was evenly melted, using the airfryer required less clean up & less time to prepare. The dual basket feature allowed me to cook them simultaneously, and the Sync Finish function ensured both finished cooking together. The Shaking Reminder is another thoughtful addition for even results.
The HomeID app is a fantastic companion, offering recipes tailored to the appliance. While the airfryer is versatile, the steaming function sets this model apart.
This is a game-changing appliance for home cooks seeking convenience and quality. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Dual Purpose Product
A fantastic dual purpose product! Great for a busy household with two drawers. The steam option is very convenient and the option to combination air fry/steam is surprisingly great. Tested multiple meals but was by far most impressed with a crispy roast pork and veggies. Best part…it steam cleans itself. Easy to use but instructions in box were not clear regarding functions - easily solved on the app which had a more detailed manual.
Philips 5000 Series Dual basket Airfryer is probably one of the best airfryers I have used to date. Touch screen display that provides 12 programs and 19 different ways too cook. Whether you want to airfry; bake; grill; roast; stir fry. The dual basket saved so much time as I didn't have too cook 1 thing at a time so much more convienient as option too finish at the same time. It has it all but what makes this even better is Air Steam feature, that allows you to steam and airfry at the same time. This is first time using airfryer that my chicken was still moist and full of flavour and all the fat had been dripped under the cooking tray unlike my current airfryer. Also, vegies were cooked to perfection. Nice and crispy roast vegies. Another cool feature is during your cook the airfryer beeps on the screen a small basket icon flashes which lets you know to turn over / shake food. So I didn't have to keep checking on the dishes. Great product will definetly recommend.
I’ve used the Philips Dual Basket Air Fryer few times now, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. I tested the same recipe in both my oven and this air fryer, and the results were noticeably better in the air fryer—and evenly cooked on the inside.
The spacious dual baskets are a huge plus. The big tray allowed me to cook larger portions easily, making it ideal for gatherings. When I used panko crumbs for a dish, I noticed the bites didn’t brown as much as I expected, but they still tasted amazing and were a hit with everyone—a true crowd-pleaser.
I’ve also used it extensively for reheating food, and it has been a game-changer—quick, efficient, and the food tastes freshly made rather than dried out, as it often does with a microwave.
Overall, the Philips Dual Basket Air Fryer has exceeded my expectations.
The Phillips 5000 Dual Basket Airfryer is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It is really simple to use, cooks food quickly and even has a reminder to shake the food regularly which is very handy! I have tried multiple different food types in both the large and small basket and have been very happy with the results. A 1.5kg whole chicken in the large basket was cooked to perfection in around an hour using the air fry/steam function. The baskets are dishwasher safe and I particularly like the steam cleaning function of the large basket which loosens up any stubborn mess which can then be rinsed out. The Home ID App has heaps of recipes with detailed instructions and photos attached so even the novice cook can master something delicious. It also has useful articles about how to use the appliance to its full potential, and the ability to favourite recipes for later. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to invest in an air fryer.
Having used this appliance for a few weeks now, I can confidently say that it’s a game-changer in the world of kitchen gadgets.
The Airfryer provides two baskets, each with its own heating element and airflow system. This means you can cook two different dishes at the same time, each at its own desired temperature and time settings. The air circulation is highly efficient, ensuring that everything inside each basket is evenly cooked. This is a noticeable improvement over my old air fryer. The smaller basket is not too small at all. While it is designed for smaller portions, it’s still large enough to hold a generous amount of food.
Perhaps the most remarkable feature of this Airfryer is its steaming function.I’ve steamed vegetables such broccoli, carrots, and green beans, and they came out perfectly tender without being overcooked. It’s an excellent way to prepare vegetables quickly, especially when you’re short on time but still want a healthy, delicious side dish.
