ORIJEN® Freeze Dried Dog Food & Topper Grain Free High Protein Premium Raw Meat Regional Red Recipe 6oz

Although, this is a quality product, my dog did not care for it. I tried it on a few different occasions. Even tried it alone as a treat.

I’m not impressed. The ORIJEN Freeze Dried Dog Food & Topper Grain Free High Protein Premium Raw Meat Regional Red Recipe pieces are hard to deal with. Adding the correct amount of water so the disc would break down was hard to judge and did not really do anything other than what down the rest of the dog food that was in the dish. I did see a minor interest when I crumbled and used it as a topper but I’m inclined to believe that was related to the novelty of something new in his dish. Eddie my dog did not seem particularly motivated by this item as a topper, or when saturated with water and mixed into his regular kibble. I let him smell one of the disks immediately when we got it because I was so surprised by its actual presentation and he had no reaction. He did not treat it as he does his other wet food or even respond to it as his treats. I don’t see any changes in his coat yet. I’m hoping that there is an added bonus almost like a vitamin supplement.

My Husky dog Zoey loved the orijen medallions freeze dried red meal toppers, but i can not justify the cost, 2 per a day the package lasts about a week. awful expensive treat. her grain free dog free costs are high enough.

I love the natural ingredients within this product and so does our furbaby!! She really enjoyed these treats and will enjoy them in the future!

I really like the concept of this and natural/meat ingredients, but my dog just didn't love this. My boxer/mastiff mix will only eat her food with a meal topper or something mixed in, but she only reluctantly ate this compared to freshpet or other mixables. My cats did however actively try to steal some of this :)

The Orijen Freeze-Dried Medallions was a great addition to my fur babies dog food!! I used it as a meal topper and they loved it. After they ate it they looked at me like give me more. That told me all I needed to know on whether they liked it or not. I have also given them as treats!!! I love that it's made with natural ingredients instead of fillers like other treats use. I will definitely be purchasing more of these. I highly recommend this product!!!

Overall it seems my lab mix enjoyed this food topper. Sometimes he goes on, what i like to call food strikes, because he won’t touch his food unless we add water or some sort of topper to it. I assume he just gets tired of the same flavor and wants a little variety which I completely understand. We talked to the vet and she said dogs sometimes do this and otherwise he is healthy so when i had the opportunity to get this for him to try I was excited to see the nutritional value it adds and he ate it up quick. This is a sustainable option for us so I’m glad to see there is something like this on the market specifically for dogs.

My dog enjoyed the Orijen Freeze Dried Medallions only when I fed them to her by hand. She struggled when they were on top of her food and pushed it around. So by hand she gobbled them up but refused otherwise. I thought they were nicely packaged and sealed properly.

My dog loved this food so much it was gone in a flash! This was my first time using this brand. I used it as a topper on top of his regular food. He didn't hesitate one bit. I personally like the ingredients and the fact that meat is listed first. As a special treat, this is great food.

When I first opened it, I thought "there's no way my dog will like this, it smells terrible". Low and behold, he loves it!! I added a bit of warm water to soften it up. Would by again.

My dog is a notorious grazer- sometimes not even finishing her food. This habit changed the moment I added the freeze-dried medallions as a topper. I’d break up half a medallion and mix it into each feeding, and within 10 minutes, her food is gone. Not only that, but her energy has improved. Additionally, no upset tummy or issues there- just a few softer stools the first couple of days, as expected with any dietary change, and then “business” as usual. After having had to get creative to get our dog to eat, this has been a game changer and a total must-have.

My dog loved them! She tried the Regional Red flavor as topper with her meals. It was very easy to prepare and the ingredients are excellent. I recommend these medallions if your dog is a picky eater like my dog.
