NEUTROGENA® Shine Control Matte Primer + Serum

This product provides a great base for my makeup. It goes on light without flaking or drying. I have added it to my daily routine!

I’ve been using the neutrogena shine control matte primer + serum for a few weeks now and am very impressed with how well it works with my skin! I wear the serum under my makeup and it helps to both prevent shine and helps my makeup last longer! My skin feels very soft and smooth when I apply the primer. I like that it does not feel heavy or oily on my skin. This product works great and I plan to keep using it!

This product definitely delivered on its promise of keeping my face matte throughout the day! It works great as a smoothing primer and did not leave a residue or oily feeling after applying.

It seems to be gentle on the skin while providing overall coverage and shine control. I will continue to use at this time.

I tried the Neutrogena shine control matte primer + serum for a few weeks and it was a wonderful surprise. I used it everyday with and without makeup. I used without makeup and I had less of a shine on my face, it looked less oily. I also used used the Neutrogena Shine Control matte primer+ serum before I applied make up. It kept my make up from shining, it didn’t appear to need blotting with a paper towel ,like it usually does after hours of wearing. I would recommend using this daily as part of your daily routine.

The serum feels a bit more watery than I was expecting. It dried very quickly and kept me shine free all day. I was just hoping for a softer, creamier feel.

This primer was able to control some of the shine from my oily skin, but not all. I am very impressed as I have an extremely oily face, so most products do not work longer than an hour before oil comes through. The Neutrogena Shine Control Matte Primer + Serum made it through most of the day, so I did not have to use blotting napkins to keep the oil down. At first, I thought the smell of it was odd, but got use to this quickly because it did not carry a smell through the day or after I blotted it over my skin. The liquid was clear and slippery when I first tried to rub it in a little with my makeup sponge. The primer also had a cool feel, which I enjoyed. I also tried the primer with both a new and used sponge. The outcome worked the same both times. On average, the primer kept my oil down for about sixteen hours, depending upon if it was a warm or cool day. I would recommend this product as it helped to keep the oily shine from my face for longer than most of the products I’ve used.

This primer really gives matte effect. I have oily skin and shine control is must for me. It gives what it promises. Overall it has goodness of serum too so it helps skincare.

I really enjoyed this product. The serum/primer went on super smooth and it was easy to layer my foundation right on top without any streaks or clumps. I noticed that my skin didn't appear oily and shiny at the end of the day like it sometimes does.

The primer helps my makeup to stay on all day. It is not greasy and is quickly absorbed by my skin. It leaves a nice, smooth canvas to apply my makeup to.

I love the formula the texture is really light you can barely feel anything on your face and it does control the oil however the only downside I would say is that it doesn’t minimize the pores so we’ll have to apply other products to cover the pores.. but overall it’s a great primer!

NEUTROGENA® Shine Control Matte Primer + Serum was incredible! The lightweight was nice on my skin and smell was nice too. It helped with the shine overall. I will definitely be using this in the future in my makeup routine.

I use this product in the morning after washing my face and before putting on my makeup. It glides on very smooth and gives me a nice matte look. There is no fragrance which I prefer and the matte control lasts all day. Would definitely recommend!

I love the Neutrogena Shine Control Matte Primer. I have super oily skin and I’m always looking for something to keep my makeup looking nice all day. If I don’t use a primer my makeup cakes and sits in my fine lines and I’m super shiny after a couple of hours. When putting on the Matte Primer my skin is super smooth and makes my makeup stay all day without getting shiny and cakey. It goes on super easy and dries fast so you are able to apply your makeup on top. I have very sensitive skin and I didn’t have a breakout or react badly to the primer at all.

There is nothing special about this primer/serum. It is not moisturizing enough to use on it's own. When used with my oil control moisturizer it doesn't control oiliness any better than my moisturizer does on it's own. It's ok as a primer but my current primer is better.
