This is a nice stock pot to have on hand. Would be ideal for soup for 2 or a small family. The pot is heavier duty than the lid, which is wonderful because the lid itself is a bit flimsy, but it is functional. The pot cooks stews and soups nicely. I cooked both to test. I kept the heat at low to medium heat on a gas range and everything cooked to the desired temp in an appropriate and expected amount of time. Easy to clean and fits nicely in the cupboard. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a decent stock pot that isn't going to serve an army. It checked all the boxes and likely won't cost a mint to buy or replace, if needed. The handles are sturdy enough to move the hot pot if needed and I had no fear or worry of losing a meal. Handles are not huge, so take the lid off before moving to give yourself a little more grip room as you'll need it.
This is a very nice budget stockpot, it is not extremely thick metal or high quality but for the price it gets the job done. This is a good introductory size for a stockpot, you could make most soups and stews with room to spare. You may be squeezing it if you tried to make chicken stock but you could definitely make a small batch of veggie stock in it. I have this in my camper and it has held up very well and I picked it since I didn't want anything too nice in a travel travel. So far it has withstood a lot of miles with hardly any dents or dings.
I Love this pot, I cook almost everyday and I cook large amount of food because my household is more than 5 people lol. The pot is very light which feels kind of like plastic. But it still does the job.

MS 8QT STOCK POT
I really loved this plus the fact it is stainless steel. Which is awesomeness. The size of it Just right. There is no need for improvement. It fits into my household perfectly. I really loved this a lot.
First, I'm a stickler about price and of course if it's good quality and works great than it's totally worth it! I can say, however, that this is inexpensive which was nice and it works great cooking with it! I love my Mainstays 8 quart stock pot and I love how big it is for cooking!1
This pot is very light, great material, seems very durable stainless steel, 8 Quart capacities with lid is a great addition to any kitchen. The product is easy to use and seems very good quality overall. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

Works okay
This stock pot works okay for somethings. Once the water or other liquid reaches where the handles are, it leaks out of those holes that were drilled for the handles. The pot’s metal is very thin, so food easily burns. If you use it for blanching or something similar, no problem.
It offers a practical and affordable solution for those needing a large-capacity cooking vessel. Its durable construction, even heat distribution, and convenient features make it a versatile choice for a variety of cooking tasks. While it may have some limitations in design and heat conductivity, it provides good value for its price and is a solid addition to any kitchen.

Must Have Pot For Winter Cooking
If you spend your winter eating soup like me, this 8qt pot is a must have for your kitchen! I love making large batches of soup as meal prep for the winter months. This pots capacity allows me to make enough of each batch that I can freeze leftovers for future meals. It is also amazing for spaghetti sauce as well. It heats evenly and is well made! I love this pot so mych!
This is my go to pot when I cook my "I'm on a diet" tomato cabbage soup. Twice a year I like to cook this soup and save a bunch to last me for a few weeks. This pot is BIG, so I don't have to worry about fitting several ingredients. It is a little thin, but that works out great because of this pots size (otherwise it would be too heavy). Easy cleanup afterwards too.

Owned for Over 10 Years
We have owned our Mainstays 8 quart Stock Pot for over 10 years. We use this stock pot for things like greens to boiled peanuts. It does take a minute for the water to reach the boiling point, which I feel is a good thing, due to the pot holds heat well. I also use this stock pot for chili and soup. If I make the chili earlier in the day and leave the stock pot on the stove with the lid on it, the chili remains warm throughout the day.
Mainstays 8 quart Stock Pot is light weight, which makes it easy to clean as well. This stock pot is hand wash only. The stock pot and lid are both made from ultra durable stainless steel, which helps prevent both from rusting and keep them lasting longer. The handles on the stock pot are angled upwards, making them easier to get a firm grip on the handles. The handles are designed to stay cool to help prevent burning your hands. The handles are also riveted to help keep the securely attached to the pot.The handles still fit securely on my pot.

Perfect for Soups
This stockpot is perfect for making soups in. With 8 quart capabilities, I am able to make enough for the entire family when they come over. It can be used for other things such as tamales as well.

Stock Pot
I finally broke down and bought this pot several years ago. I bought it because I needed a really deep pot or when I make Soup or chili. But I think I have used it the most for when I want to make a shrimp boil, it holds all the ingredients that I need for this. The only downfall is that it’s not nonstick but it’s really easy to clean.
Just purchased this one for a dinner with lots of people. Its great because its big and allows the space to boil more things (chicken, meat, etc). My only issue is that its too thin and burns quickly.
