Rich and Vibrant Color

Great product

Color prism fades
To start, I opted for random selection. This particular shade is beautiful however it's darker than I expected. I am no expert at dying hair but some areas took more of the brown and some took more of the mauve which I found to be odd. Maybe it has to do with the processing time, like the few minutes it takes from one area to another? The product has a pleasant smell which is nice. There is definitely a prism effect which is pretty cool but the mauve color faded unfortunately so what was a dark brown/red color is more medium/dark brown with very little of the red left. Since I could only attach 1 picture I went with how it looked right after being dyed. Overall it's nothing different than any other hair dye that I've used. It looks great for a couple weeks then fades. But even though the mauve has faded there is still a nice shine and it's still beautiful. I would more than likely recommend this product and may buy it again but in a different shade.

Find another product
Did not find this product favorable. There is a step one that left a goopy mess. Cap to color hard to open. The end result looks like I did not even color my hair leaving me disappointed and waste of time.

Love it!
I absolutely love this color! I dyed my hair a little over a week ago, and as of right now the color is still holding strong. Ive used other brands that have ammonia in them and a lot of the color always seems to wash out within the first week. This dye doesn't have ammonia, so you don't have to deal with the strong smells and itching while the dye is setting and the color also seems to stay longer!

Goodbye Stubborn Grays
I’m fairly young (38) and have a lot of stubborn greys, I also have a red undertone that causes my hair to look highlighted even when I color my hair, problems I’ve always had. I was excited to try Clairol’s new product and I’m happy I did. This was perfect for many reasons; my stubborn greys weren’t so stubborn, this formula actually covered them with just one application and it’s been about a week and the color hasn’t faded like I’ve normally experienced. I also love the color, it is hard to find that perfect shade of auburn, one that’s not too red and not too purple, for me, this was it, it’s my perfect shade! Normally, red and purple shades tend to fade faster than most colors, however, so far I haven’t had much fading if any which is a miracle in itself.

Color is spot on
Overall, the product is great. It matches the color to the box pretty close, just pay attention to your color on the box. it goes on well, I have medium length hair that’s thick and I have plenty left to go around. I didn’t experience any burning or eyes watering. It’s been a couple weeks now and I haven’t had any fading. My hair isn’t damaged and it’s just like it was before it was dyed!

Not the shade I expected
I received Clairol Sunset Mauve as a free product from Home Tester club in exchange for my experience and feedback. I do enjoy the product. It was easy to apply and wash out and it colored my hair without the use of ammonia. However, I hoped for a more burgundy or mauve coloring but it really just turned dark brown which I don't care for.

Covered all my grays!
Clairol Colorstrong hair dye in the color Fiji Sunset was perfect for covering my grays. It has one application in the packaging, which was perfect for my whole head. It contains a bonding primer and treatment, which has made my hair feel stronger. It smelled great with zero ammonia, which is a plus when dyeing hair at home. The entire system in the box helped make using so easy. The color saturated and held on providing a nice rich color that lasts.

Great product
I was excited to try the Clairol Colorstrong at home hair dye kit. I’ve never had an at home dye come with a primer and a bonding treatment. I think the primer really helped with getting the color to attach to my hair. The bonding cream made my hair feel so soft and smooth. I have never felt that after using a box dye. While waiting the 30 min wait time none of the color ran down my face like previous dyes have. The product is Ammonia free so there was so strong smell or burning scalp. I will definitely be recommending this product to everyone I know that uses box dyes. The instructions were so easy and straightforward that I was able to do it all by myself for the very first time.

Hair dye review
I was so excited to get this to color my hair finally unfortunately it didn't change anything. I was disappointed. I followed the rules and did each step just to keep my same brown hair color. I usually don't review things badly but I didn't get one good thing out of this product.
