A smooth shave

Great all round razor
I was really surprised buy how good a shave I got from the razor. It was a really close shave whilst still leaving my skin smooth and well hydrated something with other razors lack. I used this for a month twice weekly and it’s still as good as the first use. The only downside it has is the back of e razor does not have an extra blade to cut sideburns and under your nose. Apart from that it’s great and I think am moving over to Wilkinson sword razors now

Smooth Shave: A Reliable Razor
I recently tried the Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Men’s Razor, and I really like it. It's easy to use, with a comfortable grip that makes it simple to hold throughout the shave. The blades give a smooth, close finish, which is great for everyday use. While I find it slightly less precise when defining beard lines compared to the brand I usually use, it still offers a solid shave overall. Definitely a reliable razor for a clean, comfortable shave.

Hydro 5 Blades
Product has a sleek design with rubber grips in the right places. Great feature where you can pull back the Hydrating Gel section that allows for a better view for shaping your beard. The razor is great for those who want a clean shave, as it glides effortlessly on the face. But still slightly difficult to shaping beards due to shape. The Hydrating Gel leaves my skin feeling cool and smooth.

My husband said it didn’t work well with his goatee, it gave a close shave and left his face smooth but it also cut him in quite a few areas, easy to use but not for him unfortunately

Smooth Gel Razor
This Razor is incredibly comfortable to shave with. It lacks a precision blade to create those sharp lines but that is the only downside. The Razor itself is comfortable to hold, blades are still sharp after three uses and the hydrating gel is amazing at providing comfort throughout the shave and afterwards.

The finishing touch to my beard routine
The Wilkinson Sword 5 has been the finishing touch in shaping up my beard to provide that clean and sharp look. I liked how I only had to go over an area once and there were no visible hairs left. I used this routinely for weeks and will continue to do so after reviewing this product. I think a nice add on would be to form some sort of routine for caring after your skin once shaved (e.g. a calming moisturiser), as I did come out in some smaller bumps the morning after, however I think that's down to my skin sensitivity as opposed to the razor itself and they were minimal. Overall love the product and would recommend.

Not as effective as hoped.
Tested this a few times over four weeks, at various stages of beard growth. The product looks and feels good quality - the parts don't look or act cheap, and the solid metal handle is well balanced and shaped - but for some reason the shaving experience leaves more to be desired. I only shave around my beard, and i don't own shaving cream so shave with soap instead. It may be that my method was incorrect, but when using the Sword, i had to go over each area multiple times in multiple directions to get anything close to smooth skin. And even when i was done, i could still feel stubble. I've gotten a cleaner shave from shop brand disposable razors in the past. Would not recommend.

It did the job
The razor was as expected. It performed well for a couple of shaves then it started to blunt. I found that the swivel was a bit loose so initial it cut me until I got used to it. Usually with this type of razor I find more control in the swivel but this was more loose than expect. I found that this razor didnt last any longer than cheaper dual blades you can buy at budget supermarkets.

Smooth shave
The razor is very light, very smooth on the skin contours. Sharp with no need for double shaving. The gel is really nice and soothing to the skin. I must say it beats some of the top razors out there in price and quality of smooth shaves.
