Great toaster for small kitchens
We did some research before getting the Tefal Smart N Light Toaster and some people mentioned it was better suited for thinner slices of bread. When I opened it I was pleasantly surprised to see that the toaster had a wide opening but the design was quite sleek and didn't take lots of counter space. I decided to try it first with burgers and it was really easy to use. The manual was helpful and well written. It has all the necessary functions and is not too complicated. I also like the favourite feature since my husband prefers his toast slightly more toasted than I do and this allows us to remember both preferences. In general I would recommend this toaster for anyone, especially if you have a tiny kitchen and want to have a nice toaster that won´t take all your counter space.

Stylish, compact and great options
My first impressions unboxing this toaster were good - nice size 2 slice toaster with a shiny black finish - ideal for my kitchen and blended in nicely with my other worktop essentials. Quality feels good - strong push down handle and secure buttons. Before I got this toaster, I did some research. What I was mainly concerned about was the fact that some people said you can’t fit normal size bread in the slots! Well I can confirm they are wrong! This 2 slice toaster takes your normal size slices of bread - medium to thick no problem (took muffins, pitta etc. All fine). Now don’t get me wrong, if you go out an buy a wide bloomer loaf yes, you will end up turning it over as you toast - but that’s to be expected on a 2 slice toaster isn’t? If thats an issue then buy a 4 slice toaster. Loving the button options too - I’ve quickly worked out the timings and selected the 2 that work for me too save into the customisable buttons. Love the reheat function and seeing the countdown - perfect!

Modern Tech Toasting!
Great bit of kit, best part is the favourites buttons so me and the other half can have toast the way we both like it, I like my toast done lightly brown so the butter melts in perfectly and setting number 2 or 3 (depending on the thickness of bread) is spot on. The reheat function is good too for when the door bell goes and you get back to cold toast! The timer countdown is good as you know how much time there is left to get the rest of the stuff served! It might sound stupid but the countdown is easier to check on, much better than a a rotating dial or just waiting. It takes most shop loaves but stuggles with doorstep style or bloomer style bread but then most do. We make our own bread and it handled this very well we just cut it as thin as we can and its works out to be the same as a 50/50 thick slice. its good for pita breads too light or crispy to serve with dips as munchies! Looks good on the side and the tray is easy to clean, just wish I had the kettle to match!

Great little piece of kit. Surprised at how light it really is! Toast comes out perfect and all the smart functionality makes it a worthwhile product! Definitely recommend!

Toasty bagels are my favourite
So we're a household of 2 so having 2 favourite settings would seem like an ideal feature, but I like bagels sometimes and we both have toast so thats 3 different timings (my girlfriend is a monster and likes her toast burnt!). It'd be far more useful if there was 1 favourite button that cycled through several favourites displaying a number with a star on the screen. Despite that it toasted my bagels beautifully, the slots are nice and wide, the popup mechanism works great and the screen is clear. The overall look is clean but I'd prefer a more premium material than the glossy black plastic if I was paying over £20. It got the job done tho & I finally have some insight into how long my bagels going to take!

Good toaster, could be great...
This toaster works pretty well, gives a nice even toast on both sides and the “smart” feature is a cool addition, and being able to see how much time is left until toast is ready is very useful. I do wish that the modes were a bit more flexible, and you could add 10 sec increments, kind of like a microwave. I also would like the slots to be a bit longer, to accommodate sourdough bread slices.

Great toaster
Really nice looking toaster, looks modern and expensive. Love the countdown timers, my only negative was the first 4 options seem very short so these didn’t get used at all. Good sized slots, worked great for bread and crumpets, easy to remove tray for cleaning and very easy to wipe clean without leaving streaks

Best one I've ever had, worth the price!
This is the best toaster I've had so far, and believe me, I've had quite a few. First of all, it has a very elegant and sleek look which beautifully compliments my kitchen. I love its modern design and LED display. The toaster is very easy to use, I didn't need instructions, it's that simple. I found the function of saving my two favourite settings very useful, as I prefer my bread just lightly toasted whereas my partner goes for a more crunchy bread. Being able to save our preferences saved us time and thanks to this function, our toasts are always done just the way we like it. I have also used this toaster to toast crumpets, pop tarts, bagels and muffins and every time it came out perfect. No matter the size of the bread you put inside, it toasts it evenly and doesn't leave the edges untoasted like my previous toasters did. To summarise, I am in love with my new toaster from Tefal and already recommended it to all my family and friends.

Great well designed toaster!
The toaster worked well, there was a nice range of settings which didn't go from hardly done straight to burnt, and it had an overall equal toast, rather than doing one side note than the other like some do. Good visual display of how long is left and has a sturdy lever. A nice touch that you can program your favourite setting. Instructions were horrendous though!

Excellent quality smart looking toaster
Absolutely love this toaster ! It looks so smart and I super love that it has a timer countdown so you know exactly how long it will take in minutes / seconds to toast your bread, bangles, buns etc. The digital screen is excellent and a lovely smart additional my kitchen ! The favourite button is so simple and love the idea.

Tefal Smart N Light Toaster Review
This is a great toaster and does everything and more that you could want. It is compact and modern looking and fits in nicely in my kitchen. The features are clever and work well. The 'smart' features are relatively basic but do a good job. I enjoyed the product so much I have purchased the Smart N Light Coffee Machine to match it.

Fantastic Tefal Toaster
A fantastic new toaster from Tefal! Toasts a variety of bread slices/sizes into seconds, nicely across the whole slice. With 7 different timing programs and the timer display, it super easy for everyone to use it according to their taste. Modern design and really light. Definitely recommend it!

Smart but limited.
The concept of a smart toaster is quite good, but the limited functionality of toasters doesn't make them a great smart product. It just seemed like a normal toaster with a countdown timer. It worked well, and did make it easier to gauge the time required to toast bread. I would say though, that although the sections are wide enough for thick slices, they are not tall enough and the top section of my bread remained bread.
