Mandolin that makes light work of prepping
Although initially a little fearing of the Mandolin once I saw it’s size I quickly got used to it after thoroughly reading the instructions. Once you take proper are on how to use it I found it very straight forward to use . I initially tried it out on slicing my salad items and then quickly moved to an a recipe that needed very thinly sliced potato for a meat role with the potato being the wrapping onced soften in the baking process and filled with mince. It’s made me want to try more recipes that need a lot of slicing prep as the mandolin now makes this a lot easier.

Very versatile product, but....
Cut potatoes extremely well, but had difficulty with other vegetables & I also found the grip was too big for me to use easily, it took a lot of pressure to cut the slices. It is also a bulky product & not all kitchens will have space to store it.

Multipurpose!
Absolutely loved this product. Very easy to set up and use as you would expect from an iconic brand. Cuts through all fruit and veg with ease making meal prep a breeze, I can’t recommend this enough.

Feel like a professional Sous Chef
The OXO Chef's Mandoline is a real treat to have in ones kitchen and the blade is really sharp and is great at slicing tomatoes, apples, cucumbers, radishes, potatoes and carrots, there are several thickness that can be set to get the correct width and this is easy to adjust and very quickly the slices appear underneath, The end of vegetable holder is a little tricky to get to work with it 3 thin prongs to hole the end of vegetable. Its sits very solid on the worktop and has a nice chopping angle, nice feature is that you can stone the blade to a safe mode, Cleaning is very easy but let it dry completely , It is a little on the large side for storage, the overall result are great and for a person who likes to cook form scratch it helps a lot with new recipies and am using daily.

Another great OXO product
Using the OXO mandoline has been absolutely incredible - OXO are always innovating and making strong, high performance products that I cannot fault it. For someone that cooks 95% of the meals in the home, having something that reduces the reliance on knives and speeds up cooking has been fantastic. From making homemade waffle fries to simply slicing all manner of vegetables - the speed of food prep has been massively improved - which makes me incredibly happy and ensures that even 'after-work'cooking from scratch can now be done leaving me plenty of time in the evening. Easy to clean (completely dishwasher safe) and store away, the design means that I know the mandoline is ready to use at a moments notice. The cleaning factor meant 0 rinsing for the dishwasher even after chopping potatoes but due to its design and material always comes out sparkling. Cannot recommend enough, suitable for all in the kitchen.

Speedy prep
I used this to speed up my salad prep time - and it really did! Perfectly sliced, uniform veggies looked great. The safety guard/piece you hold the food on with, would be better if it clipped into the base, so sliding up and down was easier. Also, you’ll want to use this over a plate or chopping board, as there’s nothing to catch it underneath. The blade is extremely sharp, as I found out when I forgot to use the safety guard one time! Don’t do that!

Very good product, best I've used.
I've used this OxO Mandolin on many different types of vegetables & fruit. All different thicknesses. Made fries, crinkle chips, sliced onions, carrots, apples, tomatoes etc. It does the job generally very well and is easy to setup and use. The only issue I had was with potatoes, making fries. It wasn't always smooth and I found it difficult to keep a smooth motion while cutting the fries. I will percevere! It is also rather big, which takes up a lot of space on the work surface. This OxO Mandolin is the best and safest one I've used. I have a handheld one but it is no comparison. Very good product and a great addition to anyone's kitchen.

Fantastic High Quality Kitchen Aid
I really liked this product. It is something I had never considered buying before. The RRP would have put me off. However, it’s built with fantastic quality there are so many settings and options - really versatile equipment. Easy to clean and store, nifty gadget for the kitchen. Cuts were consistent and I’m sure I’ll use often. I am gonna continue to try loads of different settings in the coming weeks to see how much more interesting I can make meal times!

Easy to use
I’m prone to slicing myself whenever preparing anything in the kitchen so I found this a great little tool to prevent this. Easy to use and saved my fingers
