Oxo Chefs Mandoline
The product works really well, it provides great accuracy for fruit and veg and ensures that it all is the same size when cut which then improves the Aesthetics on the dinner plate. It is great for when you are cooking in large quantities as is easier to use than a knife. It is easy to clean as the sharp blade comes out easily for cleaning, i would recommemd drying and putting it back straight away as it is very sharp so could do some damage if not careful. My only criticism is the size of the product, it takes a lot of room up and unless you are using everyday could become one of those items collecting dust in the drawer.

A kitchen wizard
I’ve never used a mandolin before, and never really saw the point of it, but my thoughts were changed the moment I took it out of the box and started to read the manual. I never knew how much a mandolin could actually do. I used it to make the perfect thickness of potato slices for a dauphinois, and super thin slices of onion for a relish. The holder grips really well and I really like the fact it’s got a little tip at the top which goes down as the food wears down underneath it so you can know at a glance how far away the food item is to running out. It’s so easy to clean as well which is another thing that’s put me off in the past. So tldr: an amazing product, well worth it and it’s inspired me to make some more complicated recipes I don’t have the knife skills for!

Great piece of kit
I'm a keen home chef but often struggle keeping a consistent cut using a knife. This item has been superb for making this easy with very little effort. The sharp blade cuts easily through most vegetables and the size options are simple to select. It's also very easy to clean.

Great help in my kitchen!
I wanted this one the help with vegetable cutting for my air fryer, we all need to be a bit more healthy don't we! I tried it first with potatoes so they could be sliced to make crisps/chips and popped them in the air fryer and they came out great just the right thickness and just the right texture. Adjustable blade features are particularly useful for this, but be careful it’s really sharp so use it with care. I’ve also used it on a wide range of vegetables and they all come out as small and thin as you like as there is a number of cutting sizes, it’s made mainly of plastic but it is really hard wearing and easy to clean. I also used it for coleslaw which I wasn’t expecting to be particularly thin but works really well, make sure you use the safety guard! The Oxo name is also real reassurance, but use with care!

Great Kitchen Addition
Great addition to my kitchen. Although on first impression it feels and looks quite bulky, when using this helps with how steady it is and the amount of pressure you can put on it. Takes a little time to get the right setting for what you need but works really well and can see myself using this lots. Was a great item when slicing potatoes as was so simple and had more of a uniformed slice than normal. The only down side is a little bit of a pain to wash as have to ensure get in all the little spaces, but worth it for the outcome.

Chef quality mandoline
Really good high quality mandoline slicer would recommend to professional chefs. However I feel it’s quite large for most domestic homes and is better suited to a commercial kitchen.

A Great and Safe bit of kit
This is a great bit of kit. It slices and dices with ease and precision. What I like most about this though is the awesome safety settings and the stand - other mandolins can feel like you are one step away from disaster, but with this, you never feel like an accident is waiting to happen. Very good build quality too.

Great tool for busy veggie lovers!
The slicer is very well made, super easy to use and it’s as reliable as they come. Adjusting thickness of the slices is easy too and I appreciate they designed it in a way that you can see it from the top. Once set up, you can slice up your veggies in no time, and they’ll all be the same size and shape (I found it especially good for French fries). Unfortunately cleaning it can be a bit of a chore as food tends to get stuck in the corners and depending on what you’re cutting, it might take a bit of work to clean it out. Another problem is storage which for some might be an issue. That said, don’t let that discourage you. The time you save in the kitchen more than makes up for it, especially if you eat a lot of salads or veggie dishes.

Big kitchen product
I wasn't expecting it to be so big and heavy. More for a commercial kitchen than house. Having said that I like the multiple blades and design. Great for salads when your hosting big gatherings at home or cooking big portions. There are some gaps where food happen to get stuck so a bit difficult to clean.

Professional Grade Kit
I don’t know why I waited so long to get this type of product. I cook from scratch almost every meal. Prep of vegetables can be laborious but this is an absolute dream, thing sliced in seconds with precision cuts, everything cut exact the same. If you a cooking to impress or even want to just get things done quickly this is a game changer. It is solid and sturdy, it looks and feels expensive and has longevity. It is extremely sharp though and pretty easy to have an accident if you take the eye off the ball. Definitely not a glass of wine whilst using this bad boy. Love it and would definitely recommend this if you are looking for something that is useful and will last.

I love this mandolin!
I have previously purchased an inferior mandolin that put me off them for life but this has changed my mind completely! Firstly and most importantly it feels safe to use. It’s really sturdy and feels robust. It has a safety setting so there’s no danger when cleaning or storing the mandolin. It slices really quickly and efficiently and I absolutely love the julienne setting - no more spending hours hand chopping veg. I would definitely recommend this mandolin.

Easy to Use
Tried the product on a few different vegetables - the harder the veg the more difficult it is to use but I expect this is similar to other slicers. Soft veg such as tomatoes are very easy to slice in different thicknesses - potatoes too although the chip option produces very thin chips similar to 'burger' chips. One thing to watch is the blade - which is very, very sharp so ensure you use the device correctly and keep a good hold of the veg holder - which when used properly holds the veg very well. Overall this is an easy to use item to produce finely sliced veg without any knife skills. One huge plus point is that the entire machine is dishwasher proof so cleaning is very easy. The whole item packs into a small package as the holder is held beneath the stand. A very useful little kitchen gadget!

Surprisingly good
Have been looking to replace my mandolin for a while so this test came at a very opportune time. The construction and materials are very good quality. Robust and durable. The tool grips well on the kitchen surfaces with no slippage. The design, with an easily removable blade to allow for cleaning, is better than I've come across before. The wide range of cutting options, thickness and styles is ideal for those wishing to be a bit more adventurous with their cooking or simply wanting to impress friends and family. The mandolin comes with a safety grip, so there's a much reduced risk of adding your fingertips to your meal. The only small niggle would be that the printed instructions relating to the different styles of cut are quite vague and the instructions for using the safety grip are on the base of the safety grip, in raised black plastic (the same colour) as the gripand not really clearly visible, even for those with keen eyesight. Overall, a welcome addition to our kitchen.

Sturdy and easy to use.
The mandolin was very easy to set up and came with an instruction booklet. There are 21 blade settings which can be changed via a knob on the side to choose your desired thickness and a blade with a wavy or straight side. You can make crinkle cuts, straight slices, waffle cuts or julienne. I quickly learnt that you only need a light touch to get the best results as the blades are very sharp. The food holder means your fingers are nowhere near the blades so it's very safe to use. I found it easy to wash by hand but all parts are dishwasher safe. My only criticism is that it's not easy to store. Although the legs fold up and the food holder nests into the body it is still quite large and bulky. Overall I found it sturdy, easy to use and a handy piece of equipment.
