Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil L’Huile Originale Refillable 75ml

I received this in exchange for my honest opinion. I am an avid user of haircare oils and oiling my hair before and after a shower is a must for me. I’ve tested quite a few different brands. I’d say this one seems to be on the higher end of the price point but it was a 75mls. I would definitely say it is more suited as an styling oil and a finishing oil to smooth and reduce frizz compared to a pre shower oil. The instructions say to start with one to two drops which is ridiculous for someone who has long hair like me. I used a full pump and distributed between my hands before applying. It definitely has a smoothing effect and smells great. However the effect isn’t drastically better compared to other affordable brands. I’m not sure why it keeps boasting refillable when it’s a plastic bottle in a glass outer shell. If the plastic bottle was made with a flat bottom it could be used without the cover. Saving customers nearly half the price. Good oil but I wouldn’t buy it at that price.

This is the most amazing hair product I have ever used! I use it as a heat defence before drying and apply throughout my hair on a regular basis. My hair has never looked so healthy and glossy and beautiful!

I love the fact you can use this oil in several different ways, my favorite is as a pre blow dry oil and a pre cleanse. Really helps to keep hair soft and manageable with no fly always. Has a lovely scent which isn’t too over powering and non greasy feel too.

What can I say, sometimes you get what you pay for. My hair was left feeling soft, shiny and less frizzy (I have curly hair) I have used other hair oils before but they seem to make my hair feel dry and dull. This oil definitely didn’t make my hair feel this way. I was pleasantly surprised!

The oil I usually use leaves my hair feeling greasy and dry. I apply this oil before having a shower and have used it instead of my conditioner as it leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. Even after I apply shampoo and dry my hair it's still easy to brush through and has a nice shine afterwards. The first application did itch my scalp but I think this is down to my dry/combination skin. I haven't had any issues since. The packaging itself is very luxurious and the glass bottle is fancy! I understand why it costs more than other brands but personally I wouldn't pay this much for it. Good product overall and I'm glad to have tested it out!

This item left my hair really smooth and soo shiny!! It didn’t feel oily or greasy! It felt lightweight on the hair and smelt amazing, even after a few hours my hair still smelt amazing!

I have curly hair and this has been the oil I’ve been trying to find for years! It tames any frizz whilst adding shine and has a lovely fragrance which is an added bonus. A little goes a long way so I haven’t had to use the refill feature of this product yet but will definitely be buying a refill in the future. Would recommend!

I feel it is highly effective on wavy hair. When i got shortlisted for its test, I researched what is the functionality of this oil, which was to provide intense nourishment, enhance shine, and protect hair from heat damage. That's what i wanted to see where do i see the most difference. After trying this oil, I realised it nourished and hydrated the hair without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. Really impressed with this hair oil, it was lightweight yet really nourishing on both wet and dry hair and made my hair much shinier than it was before. A little of this really goes a long way, and even on my long hair, a couple of pumps of oil was more than enough. It's got a subtle fragrance, but not overpowering. Really loved using it on damp hair before drying, as it really helped to detangle my long hair, and loved that it worked as a heat protectant too. My hair has looked and felt in much better condition since using this, highly recommend!

You don’t need much of the product to get a great result. Left hair feeling light and shiny, with a nice smell. The only drawback for me is that though I avoided the roots, on day 2 my hair looked more oily than normal.
