Large and heavy, this is a great quality Cast Iron casserole dish. As it is compatible with all hob types, I was able to use it to brown the meat and veg on the gas hob before transferring the dish to the electric oven to cook. Even half full, it was very heavy, so keep this in mind to avoid any disasters.
I cooked my bake uncovered, but did note that the lid is solid and well fitting, and well designed to encourage condensation and help retain moisture in food.
My dish turned out great, fully and evenly cooked. I was a bit concerned at how difficult clean up would be when I saw the burned on sauce but surprisingly it was very easy to clean without scrubbing, which is a big plus as it is not dishwasher safe.
So overall, then, it’s big and heavy and might be awkward for some to handle or store. But it’s also incredibly useful, effective, high quality and long lasting (with a 20 year warranty). Consider it an investment piece and add it to your kitchen.

Massive
It is so heavy and really large. I decided to use double ingredients for my stew so I had plenty to freeze ( beneficial considering the price of gas) I cooked for the sam3 length of time I would in slow cooker or Pyrex casserole dish and the meat was lovely and tender, veg just how we like it.
Am impressed with the size and depth of this pot, could fit so much in there that I batch cooked a meal and had loads left over to store away for another time. I prepared everything in the pot on my gas hob, then transferred to my main oven for a low slow cook. It’s heavy, so did get help bringing it in and out the oven due to the ergonomics of my kitchen it had to be carried over to my countertop.

Reassuringly heavy
This stewpot is solid, heavy, and a great size for feeding 4-6 people a good meal. The fact that it goes from hob to oven is brilliant. The food seemed to cook really quickly and no doubt that’s due to the special lid. Dumplings turned out great in it. It washed up (by hand only) a dream after a little soak. This is a great piece of kitchen kit and I expect it will last many, many years.

Good on the stomach, great on the eyes
The stewpot arrived in a box clearly describing what is included printed on the box. Opening the box, you're welcomed to the lid perfectly packed on top of the pot well secured in the internal packaging. Taking it out, you're met with a beautiful terracotta coloured stewpot with a white/cream internal. This is a BIG pot and is very heavy to hold, definitely a two handed situation. The handle on the lid is a good sized to pick up the relatively heavy lid and is very secure. With the lid on it appears sealed with no air holes retaining the moisture when cooking. Take care with the lid when taking it off as it is hot with hot steam collecting on it. The only (ever so slight) 'negative' I have is more personal to me and my circumstance and is that it's a little bit too big for it to sit comfortably on even the biggest ring on my hob. Despite this, I am over the moon and know I'll get many hearty meals from our new staple stewpot!
I used this pot nearly every single day since receiving it and I must say I m just in love ! I'm a big fan of slow cooking healthy food. This pot just ticks so many boxes for me, it is a perfect size.for family of 4, great quality and I do believe that using cast iron pots for slow cooking is more energy efficient,, plus the colour is so pretty. I used it to cook soups, jambalaya and slow cooked meat and casseroles. It lookes like it's gonna last me a life time, I never wash my iron cast pots in the dishwasher and I do take care of them.

Gas or oven wonderful in both
I used it on top of the gas cooker found so easy to use really nice no sticking also really good on oven food was so much nicer
This Stewpot is fantastic, very heavy excellent quality and a really good size. Comes with a handy QR Code which you can scan to get excellent recipe ideas. There's so many things you can do with this pot. I thoroughly recommend.
The pot is amazing. It goes straight from our induction hob to the oven and cooks perfectly. We have had stews, casseroles ect and it clean up easy after each use. The only thing I would say is, it is heavy. I use it multiple times weekly without a doubt. Highly recommend this product.
This is a great pot, it's so easy to clean and cooked both on the hob and in the oven with ease. No food stuck to it and the handle makes it easy to hold despite it being a little heavy.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a cast iron stew pot, but it is far more versatile than I expected. It's great for cooking simple hob dishes and also for oven slow cooking, nothing sticks to it and it comes clean easily in the dishwasher. Very impressed.

Amazing and essential bit of cookware
To start with straight from the box this looks and feels like a high quality bit of cookware.
I love that you can use this on a hob to brown off meat before cooking so it is a truly one pot piece of cookware.
It does get a little heavy when full so bear that in mind but otherwise I have nothing negative to say at all.
Cooks great. Clean in dishwasher and looks super smart in the kitchen!

Excellent family meal tool
Quality pot from cooking to style. Very heavy, but enhances flavour with reduced attention required. French onion soup normally requires constant attention stirring the onions until caramelisation. With this incredible pot you can put the lid on and let the onions cook and only stir occassionally until they begin to caramelise. I was over the moon! The end result was the best french onion soup, packed full of flavour. The pan deglazed perfectly, which increased flavour and simplified the clean up process. The pan was cleaned back to looking perfectly new in less than 5 minutes. The pan is very heavy, which is a pro and a con. You need to be prepared for the weight of the lid when dealing with a hot pot, but it is worth it for the result. Amazing!

A wonderful classic pot
This is a wonderful addition to any home cook's kitchen. The terracotta colour is aesthetically beautiful and has a rustic feel. The pot is heavy, which is to be expected with cast iron, so I would recommend having someone else to help get it out the oven when the cooking is done! Cooked my hearty stew recipe beautifully and it's a nice size to fit in the oven without having to move shelves around. Stayed warm out the oven for a while which is nice for going back and grabbing leftovers! Cleaned so easily after use. The ceramic coating might divide fans of cast iron cookware as I think this may prevent the beneficial iron leaching? But personally I can't fault it!
This was first time trying iron cast stew pot and I did not know what to expect. I've decided to make a caserrole and I thought the pot was good. The main advantage is that food does not stick to the bottom of it and it retains the heat really well.
