Vet recommended this food after my cat diagnosed with kidney problems. Introducing this slowly into existing diet, all going well so far (he's fussy). Hoping to try the biscuits next!

Perfect to support your cat's kidneys..
My cat and I highly recommend Hill’s Prescription products, my Mario is very happy with the dry food from this series.. I bought him the urinary tract series (s/d) and he saw improvement very quickly. Our vet recommended this food to us and I think it was a really good choice. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the wet food, which is simply inedible for my cat.. My Mario is not a very picky cat, but this food is completely untouchable for him, although I've tried it a few times.. but we will definitely stick to the dry food from this series. They will definitely help him maintain healthy kidneys for a long time, which is very important for adult cats.
I was excited to receive this cat food to trial with my elderly cat. However, my cat didn’t share the same enthusiasm. He refused to eat it because it wasn’t fish flavoured and I don’t think he was keen on the texture either. However I mixed it with a little tuna and he ate the lot. The food was good quality and I’m sure that most cats would really enjoy it. Unfortunately not my elderly fusspot.
Good quality food.
My cat Boris usually begs for food during the day but whilst he was eating this food he did not beg or cry for food, it kept him feeling fuller for longer.
Our eldest cat has kidney issues and this food is suggested to help him with these. He enjoyed this wet food and ate it all which is a big plus as he can be a bit fussy. Only thing that could improve this would be a slightly higher meat content.
Jack loves this (see his pleased expression on the photo!). It was easy to get out the tin and it was a good texture. He licked the bowl clean. I would recommend this, your cat will love it.

Approved by my furry friend
My cat seems to enjoy this new tasty food as proof he leaves his food plate empty and also clean. The amount of food in a can is enough for one time feeding routine l, making this perfect size without compromising the quality of the food left open for several hours. High in nutrients and veterinary approval, makes Hill Science the best choice for my car needs and diet requirements

Excellent
Excellent kidney care cat food. My girl usually throws up daily however that stopped on day one and she hasn't been sick since starting on this. She likes the taste and gets excited when I'm putting it out which is so lovely to see. She also seems to have more energy and seems like a younger fitter and most importantly happier version of herself.
My cats love this food and the ingredients are really good. The chunk is quite dense but is easily softened with a fork if necessary.

Not to my cats taste
I was full of high hopes for this prescription food for my old cat sadly he didn’t like it. The food is in a pate form and the texture just does not suit my cats taste. He will only eat gravy products, if he had an option of a gravy based food I would try it again.

Better than it smells
Having only recently been told by our vet to try food suitable for cats with kidney issues, we've tried this paste like food, which we've taken the opportunity to stir in some water and turn into a gravy for her to eat. She's definitely shown some positive signs of having more energy and generally hanging around with us a little longer around feeding times. She loves to retreat back upstairs and we see her only in the evenings once the children are in bed, but this food seems to be having a positive effect, as she's jumping around more, and having a little more energy. The drawback to this food is the smell, it's very strong both when playing it up, but also on its reappearance later in the litter tray. It's a smelly I can certainly put up with if it's continuing to have a positive effect on my cat.
Hill’s Prescription Diet k/d Wet Cat Food with Chicken is a complete dietetic cat food with a low level of phosphorus. My friend recommended it to me as her cat has CKD and uses this food as a daily diet, with noticeable improvement.
There were no more urinary tract problems after eating it for a few weeks, and my cat always likes chicken-flavored food. It has a mousse-like texture, which is best for older cats. The food is low in phosphorus and protein. After comparing prices, it's a good choice for the specific food he requires. In cases of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency in adult cats, it is better to have wet food instead of dry food, as more water is good for the kidneys. I would say give it a try if your cat needs to start a prescription diet.

Cat loved it but made him sick
I was excited to receive this product as my elderly cat has kidney disease and has to eat a special diet. He’s very fussy and isn’t keen on his current food unless it’s mixed with soup. However he went straight in for this and ate it all up. He loved it, so it gets a big tick from me for that. However he soon became unwell and was sick and so I couldn’t feed him anymore which was a real shame. I like the size of the tins as they’re small and you therefore don’t need to have open tins in the fridge for a long time.
