Tastes like homemade gravy!
I had actually bought the roast chicken flavour back in the winter and made it with some chicken snags and potatoes. My partner thought I had made homemade gravy but it was out of the packet. Made meatloaf the other night with peas and mashed spuds again and used the roast gravy for the taste test. Same result, it’s a hit! It tastes authentically like a homemade gravy with the trimmings and definitely a household favourite now! Highly recommend for just about any meal! The flavours are awesome, consistency is nice and thick.

Convenient gravy mix
Tasty gravy that is really easy to prepare in the microwave. I like that it’s not too fatty and can be made as thin/thick as you want. It is fairly salty so not the healthiest but I was glad to see that there was no flavour enhancer in the ingredients list. It was quite a small packet for the price - don’t expect this to go far!

Full of flavour
My family really enjoyed the flavour of this gravy. It was easy to mix up and wasn't clumpy. The colouring was nice too. One sachet never seems like quite enough though, so a bigger size option alternative for family meals would be nice.

Perfect roast accompaniment
Was nice and rich in flavour. I like a thick gravy and this was perfect for it with a little less water. I liked how fast and easy it was to make, but found using a whisk was the best way to prevent lumps. Reheated nicely for leftovers, would get this product again!

Wattie’s Traditional Gravy
I used the Watties Trational Gravy with my family when we had a roast. I thought that it was a bit watery. If I ever got it again I would add less water to it. I enjoyed the flavours but would have enjoyed more if there was less water.

Watties Traditional Gravy (29g Gravy Mix
I was more than a little skeptical about trialing a gravy mix product but I was more than pleased once I tested it. This product will be a staple in the pantry from now on, it can be microwaved or prepared on the stovetop and only takes 2 minutes. Alternatively the mix can be added to 250ml of boiling water and this works just as well. Most importantly the flavour is amazing, it is comparable to a rich homemade gravy -prepared with a good meat stock and pan juices - it is truly delicious. A must for those days when there is less time to prepare gravy from scratch. I'm sold Watties Traditional Gravy Mix now, it is a product I wouldn't have purchased normally but I am so pleased to have discovered it through he Home Tester Club.
