VTech KidiZoom® Smartwatch DX4

My son was super excited to get the VTech KidiZoom Smartwatch DX4, he’s been having a blast with it ever since. The dual cameras are awesome for taking selfies and videos, and he loves adding fun effects to his photos. He absolutely loves that it has a pedometer to track his steps (just like his mom!) As a parent, I love the “shake to tell time” feature for him to learn about time. The timer, alarm, and calendar features are useful for teaching him how to manage his time. There is a math feature for simple addition/subtraction which is great for learning. The parental controls and time limits are a relief, making sure he doesn’t spend too much time playing games. The watch fits nicely with a breathable strap, though he sometimes finds it tricky to put on by himself. The best part is that there’s no Bluetooth or wireless tech, so all his photos and videos are secure. Overall, it is a great mix of fun and practical features. My son loves it, and it’s a hit with parents too.

I've tested this product myself for a few days before giving it to my daughter. I'm guessing it was hard to decide on the size of the watch, since it had to be large enough for the screen to actually be useful, but small enough for kids' arms. In my opinion, it feels a bit too large (I have kid-sized wrists). There are many clock face choices, I would say it's overwhelming. The main screen has lots of icons, and I'm sure we didn't try everything yet. The front camera is fun, the "back" one needs some getting used to, as it points horizontally. There are some games that are more fun for older kids, and my 5 year old didn't enjoy them all. I like that the USB port has a cover for protection and that the watch is splash-proof. The smartwatch has the basic things that everyone needs, like camera and notes, and it's great for teaching kids how to use them for productivity. I really liked the "active" game, and my daughter did, too, it's a great interactive way to get her moving.

This watch is very helpful for the kids to learn and practice time telling and to hear the time out loud. A great present for the kids to increase their creativity because this watch has exciting activities and games for them.

My son who is 5 was the tester for the Vtech Kidizoom smartwatch. He was very excited to receive it and was mostly interested in the fact that when you shake it that it tells you the time ( like his nanas Apple Watch ) and the step counter. He doesn’t like that there is only 3 games. The step counter I wish would constantly count instead of having to press start and then have it shut off. The battery life is quite good. The actually size of the watch face is a little bit for the 5/6 year old age range but he still likes it! Definitely doesn’t stay on his wrist for the whole day.

My son says this "is the coolest watch ever". It has a high resolution screen, easy to take pictures galore. (Great amount of storage). It can withstand a bit of water - which is perfect for kids. The band is extremely durable and comfortable. Kids can play games - my sons favourite is finding monsters in the real world. You can make music/beats and sound effects, even download multiple other games through an app. Most importantly, It helps kids tell time with over 50 clock faces. I found it easy to recharge. I think this product is great for 4-10 year olds!! Love it...

my four year old has been asking for a watch for a while and when this arrived he was quite excited. it has multiple user interfaces so you can customize it to their liking and it's great that you can have the watch tell you the time out loud as well as read it. he was having fun with the camera option although didn't quite understand how to point the camera/ where it was located. the games are fun, although quite simple compared to ones on the ipad (to be expected tho). all in all he seems quite happy with it and i'm glad he's learning how to read a traditional clock.

Thank you #hometesterclub and #vtech for this opportunity for my nephew to test out this product in exchange of his honest opinion! You can have fun, but at the same time learn how to tell time. You can also put a parental control on the watch that limits your child from playing games all the time. You can control when they can access games on the watch and for how long. It is also water resistant, so your child does not need to take it off when he or she washes his or her hands because kids will not remember to take off the watch before they wash their hands. My nephew is still testing out all the games and functions. Wonderful design!

This VTech KidiZoom smartwatch is an ideal watch and camera for kids. The screen is high resolution and very easy for kids to use. My son spends hours practicing and learning to tell the time, with the option to hear it out loud. He takes pictures and makes cool videos with filters and cool effects, which he can save. He even composes music. This smartwatch is very educational and guarantees lots of fun via creativity. My son charges the watch with the provided cable, which is easy and practical. It makes an amazing gift for any child over the age of four, as it is splash-proof metal face and durable plastic watchband.

The kids love the watch. It took me a bit to figure out how to charge it. I did not know there was a button in the bottom of the watch to switch it on. Other than that, my daughter hasn’t stopped playing with it. She loves it! So does my son! It’s well worth it!

The watch was tested by my tech savy 8 year old. Below is his honest review. 5* for games and apps. They were fun and lots of options. His favorite was the monster game. 3* for sound. The sound quality wasn't the best for videos. Especially when you speed up the video. 4* for look. Lots of fun options for clock face. 5* for for camera. Both cameras had produced clear images and it was easy to use. He had alot of fun creating and taking silly pictures with his sister. My review as a parent: Pros: The watch was user friendly and son was able to figure everything out on his own. The step tracker and monster game was a great feature to encourage him to be more active. The task reminder feature was great especially for a forgetful kiddo. Con: the package arrived damaged so we were not able to use the case to store the watch as it was intended. I like the option to set a school time so the games are locked during that time. However it was very easy to access the parental side.

This clock has so many functions, games, photos, videos, clock, flashlight, color menu and many interesting things. The battery holds a charge for a long time, waterproof, comfortable silicone strap for comfortable wearing. My son loved it so much that now they are inseparable, this is his first smart watch. My kids are 4 and 6 and both love this smart watch! Set up was very easy. There are a variety of games already available and even more to download, multiple cameras to take photos and create videos, a pedometer, drawing pad, music of course a watch, timer and more! The fitness running challenge has been a hit with them trying to beat their own scores. As a parent I love a product that encourages my children to move in a fun way. If your child is not yet reading independently (my 4 year old) there are a few times when reading is required so assistance may be needed (not necessarily a bad thing!) but overall the graphics make it easy to understand. If I could improve anything it would just be the pedometer always being active and not having to choose for it to start and stop. There is a school mode too which is great to prevent it being a distraction at school. Overall a great product and I would recommend it if you are in the market for a smart watch or need a gift idea for a child.

Overall, this product is absolutely wonderful for children! There are so many fun features like games and puzzles but also there’s features that get the child active like counting steps! The second my daughter put it on she was excited to see how many she could do. It is also very user friendly. The camera is a decent quality for the price point! My only complaint would be I wish you could hold down the button on the side to turn it off instead of the switch on the back of the watch. But that is a very minor complaint to have with the boat load of features this watch packs! The quality also seems like it could withstand the rambunctious activities that kids get into when they are active or playing! I would highly recommend this watch to any child! Very well rounded product!
