A bit messy
After repeatedly squeezing, shaking and kneading the tubes, I would still get pockets of separated icing which would then run all over the cookie. When it’s actually gel, it’s easy to use and make designs.

Coule
Je n’ai pas aimé le fini du icing. Même si je suis précise lorsque j’en mets sur les biscuit, le glaçage coule et ne garde pas les lignes précises. Par contre, les bonbons collent bien à ce glaçage. Alors c’est parfait si on veut décorer de bonbons. La couleur est aussi légèrement transparente.

Great concept but not easy to execute
The icing pens require a specific amount of pressure and weren’t always easy to squeeze out exactly to write very well. There also weren’t any instructions, so I didn’t shake it up at first and do to separation I believe, the different parts of the mix would pour outnin blobs. It was quite difficult to xontrol even after being shaken up. I was trying to write on a moist cake, so perhaps it would’ve gone on easier on a cookie or something else.

Easy to use and convenient
These gel pens made decorating my cookies so much fun and they are so easy to use. These are the perfect icing pens to use when I am working with my Special needs students because there is no mess and are easy for them to use. A great baking addition for me.

Gel cookies
I found you had to really shake these tubes and squeeze them as they were very runny, once I shook and squeezed the tubes the product was okay, I am no artist therefore I don’t feel the tube was helpful in any designs .

Cute !
I really loved using these cookie decorating products with my kids. They were very colorful, and perfect for kids. The sprinkles stayed well onto of the icing. The gels packs were easy to use.

Icing Gel
The tube was very runny even after shaking but if you squeezed some out you got to the gel. It holds up okay but difficult to squeeze and design with.

Bug out
Well this is an okay collection of colours, again not what I would chose for my baking. I could see these used at a party where children could customize their own (provided) cookies but for me it's a pass.

Buggy
Well, I guess the idea is good for kids' decorating. I would not use these colours and would prefer making something myself with my own choice of flavours and colouring agent. Cochineal (which is used for red colour - aka carmine or E120) is a crushed insect, which mean this product is not suitable for vegetarian/vegan, kosher, and some other dietary restrictions.

A decent option for cheap dessert deco
Bought this to decorate a friend’s cake. Its a fairly simple product to use but the consistency of the icing in the pens isn’t the best. It started off smooth making it seem like an easy tool to write and make smooth lines with but every once in a while the icing will gush out making a transparent mess and breaking up the fluid lines. Might be better for cookies than cakes but overall an okay option on a budget.

Really Fun but not as tasty as expected
My daughter (6) and I had alot of fun decorating cupcakes with them. The colours popped and we were able to make really neat designs with ease. However, unfortunately neither of us enjoyed the taste very much.

Worked ok but not great
I bought these to write on a cake but they didn’t work so well for me. They did the job but were quite watery so it was hard to make it look clean, the colours were also quite transparent and not as bright as depicted on the package.

Super easy to use
I bought these for my little girl and I to decorate cookies. They were super easy to use, she loved the colors and we really enjoyed the taste! I would like them to have more in the containers however !

WOULD HAVE HAD MORE LUCK USING WATER
Very rarely do I buy products like this, I tend to simply colour the icing that I'm already using to ice the cake for any messages or designs on top. However, it's my granddaughter's 3rd birthday and I thought I'd jazz things up a bit. These were absolutely like water. Couldn't get a straight line, the gel wouldn't adhere well to the icing and the entire cake was a mess. I had lots of icing left over so I simply added more to the top to cover the mess. I would NEVER buy these again. Sometimes simple is the best. The other thing to note is that the maker of the gel has an unresponsive website - it just shows pictures and the links that are there don't work - that must mean something!!
