Definitely A Winner
When I received the slow cooker I was excited to use it as I'd never used a slow cooker before. Now that I have used it, I definitely want to buy another one but a larger size! I made two meals, a mince meat stew and pumpkin soup, and I was delighted how soft the ingredients were and tasted so nice. The best thing for me was that I was able to put all the ingredients into the slow cooker, turn it on and spend time with my young children. I didn't need to be stuck at the cooktop stirring and checking a pot. It was lovely. Plus my husband asked for another bowl of pumpkin soup I new it was a winner, but unfortunately there wasn't any left, hence the want to buy a bigger size! Definitely recommend this product, and it was so quiet I would have thought it wasn't working if it hadn't have been for the Red Light.

Life saver
This slow cooker has definitely been a life saver!! All I have to do is put my food in there and leave. Our dinner has never tasted better and the slow cooker makes it so soft especially the meat. Such an amazing product to have in the kitchen

not too bad for the price
Great product - easy to use, not heavy and simple to clean. It’s a medium size, simple cooker that does the job and cooks my recipes perfectly. I like the size, style and glass lid. . The only fault that I could find about this product is that the cable's a bit short and people should take that into account when purchasing. Other than that its great!

A sleek & modern addition to the kitchen
I was so excited to receive and review this product. Upon opening the box, it looks sleek and modern with the matte black finish. It's a good size for a small family like ours but would be too small for bigger families. It worked well and as described, however I would prefer a product with a pot that can be used on the stove to brown meat prior to putting back in the slow cooker and turning on.

A new family addition
The slow cooker is perfect in size for our family of 4. It’s easy to cook and clean. The different modes in the setting is used for fast and very slow cooking and making the food warm for longer time. Instead of cooking instant , this preserves the nutritional values of vegetables and meat.

A nifty gadget for a small family!
With it's super sleek design and compact unit, I was really excited to give the Russell Hobbs 4L slow cooker a whirl! The functions are very easy to use as there are simply just heat settings. I was immediately disappointed to know that there is no timer capability and that meant that easy and almost effortless cooking wasn't a go. I live in a house with 8 other family members so I knew also that this wasn't going to be a "all in the one pot " dinner solution. On both occasions that I cooked with this slow cooker I had at least 2 other pots / pans going for side dishes. But I persevered! The unit itself cooks beautifully and evenly. The ceramic dish didn't get too hot to the touch and the glass lid was perfect got checking my meals. I cooked slow cooked lamb and each time the protein was cooked beautifully and was so soft! The power cord is a tad short so that limited me to where in the kitchen I wanted to set up my cooker. For cleaning, it was a breeze!

Good for the whole family.
I was eager to try when it arrived, after discussions with the family we settled on red wine and roo ragu. We put in on around 11am and by 1pm the whole house smelt amazing. By 6pm, the meat fell apart. It was very tasty dinner with some mash potato. The next we wouldn't to test out it more. We made a caramel sauce. It slowly bubbled away. When it was ready, I threw it some popcorn. The size of the bowl gave enough room to toss and coat the popcorn. The kids loved it.

So simple, anyone can now cook dinner.
I love the matte black look of the Russell Hobbs 4L Slow Cooker (https://au.russellhobbs.com/product/4l-slow-cooker-matte-black-RHSC4A). I loved the fact that I was able to write in chalk on the front of the slow cooker what was for dinner that night. The chalk just wiped straight off with a damp cloth. The Kiev Bake came out so moist and tender (http://www.slowcookercentral.com/recipe/kiev-bake/). Even though the ceramic bowl was warm to touch, I was still able to place my hand on the handle to help steady the slow cooker so that I could dish up the meal. The ceramic bowl makes for easy cleaning. This appliance is so easy to use with it's 3 setting, low, high, and warm. The warm function is perfect for if you have family members that eat at all different times due to either work or school commitments. The Russell Hobbs 4L Slow Cooker is the perfect kitchen appliance and so simple to use that anyone can now be a great chef.

Takes a while to heat up to temperature and its a little challenging to clean. Have used all the setting and they don't seem all that different to me.

Russell Hobbs 4L Slow Cooker
I like this but I have a feeling that this will not last long. Some parts of the enamel was already wearing off. That is why I just gave this away. On the positive side, this one is easy to use and it heats up quickly. The meat comes out soft and tender. Just make an improvement on the quality and this would have been perfect.
