L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Clinical 12% Vitamin C Serum

Has a metallic aroma to it once you rub it into your skin. So I wasn’t a big fan of that. I had to stop using the day serum after three weeks as I feel that my skin was having an unwanted reaction to the night serum and whenever I applied the day serum, the skin on my face felt a bit tingly. I’m not sure that it helped with any brightening of my skin. The redness was still there. My face felt tight (which may have been the aim of this serum) but it was actually uncomfortable and felt dry and like it was craving some major hydration from a rich moisturiser. So if used on its own, it may have the desired effect but my skin texture also did not improve. Once my skin recovers I may recommence use of this serum day and night and see how my skin reacts. The box does state that this is suitable for sensitive skin and is effective on all skin tones and types so that is promising. At this stage I cannot give an accurate review on how well it works because I haven’t seen the benefits.

Really like the serum, gentle on skin, nice packaging and a pleasant scent. Good base under makeup and no irritation. Packaging is nice and easy to use

I quite like this vitamin c serum, it is gentle yet effective. A little goes a long way, it absorbs quickly with no residual film and does not make the skin feel sensitive or irritated after using. It is not overly hydrating however hence the reason I have given it 4/5 stars.

I recently tried both of these serums and want to share my honest review. I applied Vitamin c serum twice a daily after cleansing and it felt comfortable on my skin. It is lightweight and has a watery light orange colour texture. On the other hand, when i applied Retinol serum at night for the first time, you can't believe it burnt my face and I left with black patches on my skin. My skin became red, super dry and burnt. After a few days my skin started peeling off. It takes me 2-3 weeks to heal that burnt part. I have a combination skin and i never get any skin allergy from any of the products i used, but sadly this serum burnt my whole face. I will not recommended this Retinol serum to anyone, specially to the people who has sensitive skin. And because of this serum, I couldn't see any effects of Vitamin C serum on my skin. I am very disappointed.

Love this duo from L’Oréal . The vitamin c serum feels beautiful on my skin in the morning under my makeup and the evening moisturiser I put on every night even on my next and I’ve noticed a reduction in my fine lines

It helped with my skin tone had a Nice fragrance and didn’t feel greasy to the touch. Would’ve preferred if it came in a bigger bottle. Overall, my skin looked a lot better

I have quite fair skin and sometimes a vitamin c product can whiten or yellow my skin tone however this product did not do that. Was easy to apply with no residue as it is absorbed well. Visibly minimised freckles and spots.

I have tried so many bad vitamin c serums so I was so excited when I found this! It’s the perfect serum, it’s lightweight, smells great, sits well under makeup AND brightened my skin! Loved it

I really enjoyed adding this to my morning routine. It has a great consistency, wonderful smell and didn’t add weight to my face before make up application. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family and look forward to using it consistently.

I personally enjoyed the product, it made my skin feel hydrated, noticeably brighter and fresh. It did however 'peel' off my face whether I used moisturiser or makeup. I also didn't enjoy the actual pipette as it was inconsistent and sometimes frustrating to get enough product out.

This was a great addition to my routine. I loved the smell and texture and feeling on my skin. I felt my skin was brighter following use and will continue to use this product. I would recommend it to a friend looking for a vitamin C serum.

I’ve used this product daily and can’t wait to buy the next bottle! It makes my skin feel like it’s glowing and hydrated. The bottle is heavy so not ideal for travelling but the serum is amazing!

This product I did see subtle difference in fine lines and some skin firming. My skin felt hydrated. Used it every day, my skin is very dry so at times had to add my intensive moisturiser to dry patches. Overall, I will continue to use this product as I love how it made my skin feel.
