Keeps hair feeling great
The GHD Chronos Max left my hair feeling soft and shiny for days after using it. My hair stayed mostly straight, I would just have to do the ends if they went a little wavy overnight. I did find that the one pass technology did not apply to my hair. I did have to go over the same section two or three times for it to be straight. I also found it a little tricky to get right to the roots. But overall, it is a great hair straightener and I really liked the shine it added to my hair!

Quality that delivers
My hair is thick, curly and frizzy! I always cringe when I have to wash my hair because the straightening is always such a mission, so I was super excited to try this! My current straightener has thin tongs so this took a little bit of getting used to with the wide tongs. It is sleek and is straight forward to use. One button for on/off and you're ready for action. I did find that being wider it is hard to get right to the roots. I was really hoping with the wider tongs it would be much quicker to donky hair but unfortunately this isn't the case. I also had to go over each section quite a few rimes before it was straight. In true ghd form it works well and gets thebjob done. I will definitely continue to use this and would recommend it to anyone who likes using a wider style straightener.

Requires a different technique
I am a long time user of GHD hair straighteners so was very excited to be selected for this trial. The wider plates did it make it slightly quicker to straighten, but I found it really required a completely different technique to use it for curling given the wider plates. It meant having to hold the hair in longer and slower to get it to curl. The curls were hard to get tight, so started with a loose curl and by the end of the day it was down to a nice wave, definitely wouldn't last a couple of days like with my normal sized plate GHD. It was also quite hard to use for precision to straighten little flyaways with the wider plates The shorter design makes it quite lightweight and compact. Also like the light on the base of the cord to show it's on.

Fast an Effective
The GHD Chronos Max is a sleek, light straightener that does an amazing job at straightening a full head of long hair quickly. This straightener took the 40 minute job of straightening my hair and cut it down to a little over ten minutes. The heat up time is incredibly quick and I like that it makes a little noise once its ready to go. The silicone topper is helpful for storage. The cord is long ensuring you're not stuck by the powerpoint for the entire straighten. There is no additional storage bag, which might make it annoying for some users if they need to transport it, but this doesn't impact me.

Good straightener
I have never had a straightener heat up as quick as this one. Had to go over sections of my hair multiple times for it to be straight but it definitely made my hair less static on top. To be honest didn't notice that much difference between this product and the standard entry level GHD model

Best Hair Tool I Have Ever Used!
I have long been aware that GHD is known for quality hair tools, however before trying this one I did not think it was worth the investment. I now understand the hype! This straightener glides through my hair smoother than any other. It does not snag or pull out any hair which is an issue I have had with multiple straighteners in the past. It also leaves my hair noticeably smoother than other hair tools! I love the wide plates as it allows me to straighten or curl larger pieces, resulting in a faster styling process. I have naturally wavy, thick hair and it only takes 1-2 passes to straighten each section. I enjoy using this tool to curl my hair as the wide plates leave a loose wave resembling a blow-out style. I have noticed that my curls stay in longer than normal, however, I think that has to do with my hair type more than the tool. Overall I have really enjoyed using this hair tool and finally understand the quality of GHD that justifies the price!

BEST FOR THICK HAIR!!
I'll start by saying every hairdresser has said to me that I have the thickest hair they've ever seen. So it's hard for me to find a Straightener that straightens with ease and stays straight. To say I'm impressed is an understatement, I'd give it 10 stars if I could. It does exactly what it says: Straightens thick curly hair in one stroke and it lasts, A WEEK! Really easy to use, heats up fast and gets really close to the scalp, which is hard on some of the wider irons. I would recommend this to anyone who asks, what an absolute game changer. I love it!!

So smooth
I love this product. I love how big the blades are, and I didn't feel like it was burning my hair because it had a pre-set temperature. My hair feels beautiful and it lasted for a really long time

Fast and easy to use
The straightener is extremely fast to heat, easy to use and comes with a protective plate cover. The wide plates were fantastic for my very long hair, and only needed one pass over for the desired result. I would love for the straightener to have temperature control, as I found it hotter than I normally would need for my hair type.

Game changer!
What an absolute game changer for my thick and frizzy hair! It's been hot and humid the last few weeks and this straightener has stepped up to the challenge. The wide plates allow me to grab bigger chunks so my styling time in much shorter, but my style has still managed to last. I really like the weight of the straightener. It doesn't feel flimsy but I don't get arm fatigue. This is also the first straightener I've had where the plates don't transfer heat to my hand and cause sweating. It glides through without snagging as well and can also create a nice loose wave. I did go over each section more than once - the first to straighten and these second to go over any imperfections. Very impressed.

GHD Chronos Max Hair Straightener
Was extremely excited to be able to review this product! Tried multiple times and whilst it was great at straightening the length of the hair it was hard to get close to the roots near the scalp as the head of the unit was a little too wide. The final straightening lasted all week and my hair felt soft and healthy.

Fantastic hair styling tool
As a busy mum of 2 young kids I rarely have the time to style/tame my thick, long hair, but with this wider plate, my hair can be straightened within 10-15mins. It's such a time saver! I even love the cute little beeps it does when turning on and off. It's also really easy to create soft curls. I've owned GHDs before and always find them reliable, great quality and stand the test of time.
