As Expected
The toothpaste did exactly as advertised, cleaned my teeth and made them noticeably whiter over the course of the week using the product. It has a clear mint flavour which isn’t too strong but definitely stays in your mouth, to the point I had to rinse my mouth a couple of times to get the sensation of it out of my mouth after I’d brushed. The toothpaste itself isn’t grainy at all and doesn’t stain lips as much as other purple toothpastes I’ve used in the past.

Good toothpaste
There was a noticeable difference after one use of this toothpaste. After regular use I felt a lot of the stains were gone from my teeth. The toothpaste had a great minty flavour and I would recommend it!

Very minty!
I liked the product. It had a very fresh minty flavour which I really enjoyed and which I considered the highlight. The purple colour was a little unusual and quirky! I would recommend this!

Good but messy
I'm terms of taste and texture, no different to any other toothpaste from Colgate. Pleasant, minty. Easy to use. In terms of whitening effect, I personally didn't notice anything but I had friends and colleagues comment that my teeth look whiter without them knowing I was trying a new toothpaste. Since we are our own worst critics I think that must say something about the effect. However, the thing that I disliked about the product was the purple colour. Not sure if it is a necessity based on the ingredients or a marketing effect. But it makes a horrendous mess. Purple mouth, purple towels, purple sink. Not great. For me, this is the let down and I probably won't purchase for this reason. But for whitening, apparently noticeable effects after a week!

Purple Toothpaste?
I received this product for review. I was a little hesitant because I have not used a purple toothpaste before. I am a redhead and always had problems with my teeth being yellow regardless of what I have done. The taste is not over powering which is good. Some whitening toothpastes are very overpowering. This one is not. I used this product morning and night for 7 days before doing the review. I have noticed my teeth starting to whiten. With continued use this will whiten my teeth more. I would buy this product.

Great taste , nice size tube with a easy to open lid and stands well on the bench . Cleans well snd a nice difference slowly being noted to the colour in my teeth . Great product

Purple Toothpaste - Not Just a Fad!
I’ll admit, I’ve felt bombarded by ads for “miraculous” purple toothpastes and their whitening powers for the last 12 months or so. I wasn’t being fooled, I know my colour theory and was certain the effect would disappear as soon as I ate or drank anything. After trying out the Colgate Optic White Purple for a week, I take it back! Thanks to my chronic bruxism wearing away my enamel (plus my love of coffee) I’m no stranger to whitening treatments, although I haven’t undertaken any for about a year. On first use, the product was familiar. It had similar consistency and taste as other Colgate toothpastes - fresh and not too overpowering. The purple was a bit of a novelty too. Results are instant, although subtle. Definitely saw more of an improvement over the course of week, and with regular use whitening effect is lasting well. I also noted is it doesn’t seem to over-correct and leave obvious purple on teeth - rinsing afterwards is a must!

Visibly Whiter Teeth
I have been using this product twice a day (once in the morning and once before bed) for a week now and have definitely noticed a visibly whiter shade of teeth from when I started. The purple colour of the toothpaste does not remain afterwards and washes off easily, leaving behind noticeably whiter teeth. The taste and texture is as you would expect with toothpaste. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for daily use, especially for those with stained or yellowing teeth.

Not much difference
I have been using the Colgate optics range for years so was excited to try the purple toning toothpaste. I used this toothpaste morning and night and only noticed the slightest difference in the the colour of my teeth. I'm sure that after about a month's use you would notice a real difference, but I think you would have to continue the use of the purple toothpaste to keep the whiteness of your teeth. I had to make sure to brush my teeth before putting any makeup on as it would stain my mouth and lips. You also have to be careful and rice every drop in the basin because it will stain and leave purple drops.

Definitely gives an optic white
The Optic white toothpaste does exactly that - gives a whiter smile temporarily. Pros: - Nice minty taste that lasts for hours! - Makes teeth look very bright Cons: - The purple colouring makes a bit of a mess and doesn’t wash down too easily! - White colour doesn’t last long. Short term effect

Pretty good colour corrector!
I have tried purple colour corrections from other companies and this one compares pretty well! The texture of the the toothpaste is closer to regular toothpaste which is great as other brands can be watery. It also tastes pretty good and doesn't stain your toothbrush. It doesn't correct the colour as much as I would have hoped but it does a pretty good job. I will definitely buy it again.

Not the best
So, I have been using this Colgate Optic White Purple Toothpaste for over a week. I have noticed some stains have been removed from my teeth... and that's it. The white effect that the purple does when it neutralizes the yellow of your teeth it just temporary as stated on the product. Temporary as in 5 minutes. I have posted pictures of my progress. The day 7 pictures clearly show my teeth are whiter, but it was taken minutes after brushing my teeth. Also the purple colour stained my lips which I did not like at all.

Great Toothpaste
I'm a big fan of this toothpaste after trying it. It has a great taste. I found that my teeth felt cleaner than my usual toothpaste. The only thing that took some getting used to was the colour. It feels a bit wrong putting something so purple on my toothbrush. I'd switch to this for sure.
