A baker's must have kitchen appliance!
I found the Breville Bakery Chef Hub extremely useful and easy to use. Wonderful product! Using the Bakery Chef Hub very much simplifies the process of baking cakes or bread as it does a perfect job of whisking / mixing the ingredients or kneading dough. The scraper beater ensures ingredients are scraped well from the sides of the bowl ensuring even mixing. The knob setting and timer are extremely useful to pick the right speed and time for required blending or kneading. The Recipe E-book was useful as it specified the minutes required for each action - I tried the Chocolate Chip Muffins and the Chocolate Cake.

Breville Bakery Chef Hub - A Great Mixer
I tested the Bakery Chef Hub on two recipes from the Recipe E-Book: Chocolate Chip Muffins and Butter Cake with Custard Icing. The highlight of the mixer was the spatula beater, which was excellent, resulting in cake and muffin bases with great texture. Due to a shopping oversight the muffins were peanut butter chip and they were delicious. The butter cake was also moist and delicious, however due to the custard icing curdling I used a butter icing instead (no fault of the mixer, the whisk worked really well). The best bits of the Bakery Chef Hub were the quality of the mixing tools, the power it had kneading dough (I made a pizza dough) and being able to get attachments (although not tested as I don't have any, yet). The things that could be improved are that the mixer tends to walk on the counter when using a lot of power, that the mixing arm doesn't lift high enough to remove the mixing bowl without tilting it and that the power level can only be seen when the machine is on.

Breville The Bakery Chef Hub
A slick stylish and modern choice for the experienced or amateur chef. The thoughtful design points including a timer and led lit speed control panel made for a convenient and helpful cooking experience. The tools supplied with the product are also well designed. I especially loved the scraper beater, I was pleased with how well it got all the ingredients from the side and bottom of the mixing bowl and mixed them thoroughly. The measurements inside the mixing bowl were also a nice touch and the splash attachment for the side of the bowl ensure you and your kitchen stay clean. I liked the cord being able to tuck away inside the machine after use within the base, like a vacuum cleaner cord. Making Chocolate chip muffins form the recipe E book was a delight with this machine and the quality delivered was fantastic. The chocolate fudge cake was delicious and following the recipe with the machine was easy. Compared to my Artisan Kitchen Aid mixer this product was superior 5 stars from me

An awesome mixer
I loved using this machine - it was much quieter than my existing kitchen mixer. The Breville machine is fast and easy to use with its numerous functions. I love the spatula attachment that pretty much cleans the side of the bowl as it’s mixing. Whipping cream takes less than a minute - so quick. I used the machine to mix up some gluten free muffins and a butter cake. The job was made easy. What I like was the cover that goes around the bowl to prevent splatters and flour going everywhere. The dough hook made making pizza dough a breeze. Also the cord tucks away inside machine making for easy storage.

A sturdy, sleek and capable appliance
The mixer is stunning with its clean lines and black finish. The bowl has measurements which makes it easy to estimate volumes. The scraper paddle works well. This is much better straight out of the box than our KitchenAid mixer. The mixer was a bit noisy. The speed control worked a treat and takes away the guess work. The KitchenAid just has a speed setting. Moving the mixer motor is a very secure and pleasing action, with the KitchenAid agricultural in comparison. The LCD timer is brilliant addition. Our mixer was placed next to a fruit bowl, and it rubbed through the anodised finish and left a small mark. In summary, this is a very sturdy, sleek and capable appliance, and performs just as well as our KitchenAid, if not better in some regards. We baked all 3 recipes from the E-book. The butter cake was the pick of the batch. The custard icing was too much, and we would cut it by a third. In summary, the recipes were all easy to follow and the goods turned out great!

Every baker's best appliance.
I was very impressed with the mixer. I liked the dial for the different settings and found the timer so handy. It seems to be well built. I made the chocolate chip muffins and the chocolate fudge cake. Oh my...they were both just delicious. I liked how the creaming paddle scraped the bowl and mixed the ingrediends very well. I liked how the setting dial helped choose the correct setting for the type of 'mixing' method was needed. I am very keen to try other recipes using this mixer.

Fantastic mixer with great features.
The Breville Bakery Chef Hub is a great appliance for cooks and bakers of all skill levels, it is a sturdy mixer that helps with basic mixing all the way through to high powered mixing. Beyond doing its job really well, there’s a number of features which make it a really great appliance; it has a mixing timer, and a light so you can see what’s going on inside the bowl. The shape of the bowl works really well for small batches of dough/batter which my previous mixer was no good at, but it’s also big enough to make a tiered cake. The recipe e-book was full of goodies too, the Chocolate Cake with Fudge Icing and the Choc Chip Muffins are now staples in our house – delicious! If you’re in the market for a mixer, definitely give this one a go!

Extremely happy with my new mixer
The Breville Bakery Chef™ Hub is a luxury kitchen appliance. It's a lot more superior than my previous machine. I baked the Chocolate Chip Muffins from the Recipe E-Book. I got surprise how the kitchen reminded clean after I finished, thanks to the accessories included. It was very easy to use and to clean it. The mixture had the right consistency. I am very happy with this mixer, I would recommend it to everyone! I can't wait to buy the pasta accessories and start cooking with them

Powerful little black beast
This is amazing. I found the scraper beater to be better than I expected it. It really did scrap the sides of the bowl, without the need to continue to stop and scrap manually. This was a must when making the butter cake with custard icing.

Fantastic Machine!
WOW - what a fantastic machine this is! I compared the Briville against my Kitchen Aid machine...& what a difference - in a GOOD way! The Breville machine is lighter, faster, has so many functions, & when you use it, the connected spatulas (included) go along the sides of the bowl... the Kitchen Aid brand's spatulas do not in the last, is a heavier machine & no multifunctions. What I really like about the Brevillemachine is that you can put the cord "away"; said cord can be put into the machine after it's use, so no pesky cord hanging when putting the machine back in the cupboard/draw..! I used the dough hook & whipping spatulas, & they both proved to be great at prepping pizza dough & whipped cream..!

Love this product
I use this refularly. I like.amking pizza dough once a week. It also mixes cake mixes well. Doesnt heat up and it is easy to clean. It has good capacity. I will recommend thisnproduct.

Great for baking!
I absolutely love this machine! Before I bought it, I was using a hand mixer, and my hand would always ache. I put off getting this for so long, but I really wish I’d purchased it sooner. It’s been a total game-changer – baking is so much more enjoyable now!

Essential Appliance
Absolutely love this appliance and it’s a staple in my day to day cooking. I especially appreciate the built in scale and the timer - small details that really do make a difference to improving the functionality of the appliance and keep the cooking process streamline.

Can’t tackle large loads
Nice unit and looks really nice. Comes in a good range of stylish colours and looks good. I like Neville as a brand and have many items from this brand but it sits around the mid price range and for that you get mid performance. Using this mixer for cake batters and light to medium loads was great. I used it for about 6 months this way and was happy. Then I decided to start making empanadas and loafs of bread so I used it mostly for dough. This is where the machine showed its mid quality. It started to smoke a little and have a burning smell. It was clear it can’t handle big or heavy loads and the machine would rock about. I gave it to my mum who still has it 3 years later and has had the same issue and now only uses it for cake batters. I have now progressed to a kitchen aid pro which takes any load or weight with ease. So if you’re just using it for cakes and things then it’s great. But if you want to make 1kg of dough then this unit just does not have the motor power.

Yes!
Mum and dad own this and I borrowed it from them. Considering stealing it I love it so much. So easy to use and just a touch and go set up. So many settings and adaptations which makes for a great appliance to use for more than just one thing!!
