LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!
I have to keep my hair up a lot working in healthcare. Problem is - I also get horrible migraines. When I pull my hair back with a traditional tie, it tends to make them worse, and I end up having to take my hair down. These clips don’t add any stress to my scalp or to a pounding headache. I love that I can use these in a hurry for a messy look or to style and look cute. I can’t brag on these clips enough! They keep all my hair into place, don’t hurt, and are fun to use! Love this product!

Great for long hair

Good clip!
Nice hair clip. Kind of tough to use at first, but you get the hang of it . The variety of colors is very nice, and the hinge that it uses to open seems pretty sturdy.

A couple hiccups but I do like it
It took about 10 times of trying to finally learn how to correctly use this clip. The plastic was thick and felt pretty sturdy. I like that you push the ends together to snap it shut, but the clip opening on both ends caused me to pop the whole clip in half while trying to close it. It holds your hair in place without any pulling, but I think the more texture your hair has the longer it will stay put. I have very straight hair and it would stay in place for about 30-45 minutes.

Easy to use but not for me
I feel like I should preface this with the information that it was not the best for my hair type. It was simple to use, but I feel someone with ticket hair could have used it in a more beneficial way. A lot of my hair kept sliding out. I think it would be amazing for someone with thicker hair.

Nostalgic but Bulky
I recently tried the Scunci Large Banana Hair Clips in Tortoise Shell, White, and Black (3 Count) and had mixed feelings about them. After a quick search on how to use these retro clips, I found the process straightforward and easy to follow. However, I did have to brush through my wavy hair to smooth it out before using the clips, which unfortunately resulted in some unwanted frizz. I understand why these clips were popular when they first came out—there’s a certain novelty to their design. But in practice, they felt a bit too bulky, especially if you don’t have a lot of hair to hide the back of the clip. While I appreciate the nostalgic vibe, I found them to be more of a hassle to use than I expected. If you have thicker hair, you might have better luck with them, but for me, they ended up being more style than substance.

Such a useful, easy hair clip
I hadn't used a "banana clip" since I was a very young girl, but I knew I'd have to try them when I saw they were coming back. These from scunci are so easy to open and close but stay firmly closed once in the hair. They make a great, easy up-do. I recently got a part-time job that requires my hair to be off my shoulders, and these do not add any extra time to my routine. Just open the clip, place where you want your hair to be held (I like mine about middle of the back of my head), and make sure your hair is in and close.

Hair accessories are the best
I had never seen these type of pony tail clip accessories before, apparently they were all the rage back in the 80s/90s, I’m gen x (99/early2000s). There are many different ways you can wear the clips I was pretty confused how to use them but after a few instructional videos , I figured it out. They are well made but I felt that other banana clips were slightly better quality or at least appeared as if they were. I have pretty thin long hair, this wasn’t the best choice for me but I think would be a good purchase for anyone trying to jazz up a simple pony. Super cute and would definitely recommend this style and this brand !

A Nice Alternative
I once saw a video from an ICU nurse who said that you wouldn’t believe how much head trauma hair clips cause when you get in a car accident. That’s the mild version. When I received the banana clips that’s immediately what I thought of as a solution. I will say this probably works better on textured or curly hair,but they do work! It took me a few try’s to get the hang of it, and they aren’t as convenient as traditional clips,but I like it! I’ve worn these to work and to travel and the clips holds,plus when I sit back in a. Seat i don’t have anything poking the back of my head!
