Not quite
I liked the clips my daughters were excited to try.but with oily hair we just experienced tangling when trying to unlatch.however with a braided style these clips were of Better use and less ouchies

Quality hair clips
These are great quality, sturdy, and well-made hair clips. The different sizes made it easy to try different styles. Small ones are perfect for half-up styles and the large butterfly was big enough to hold all of my hair up in a twist. The only issue I had was the large butterfly clip was difficult to hold open because of the shape and how hard the spring is.

Works well but stiff to squeeze open
These are really cute hair clips! They hold my daughter's hair well. Their design is also pretty. The only downside is that they are quite stiff to squeeze open.
