Meh...
Mederma scar treatment is overpriced, ineffective, and does not do anything. About this and tried it and did not work. If you read the ingredients on the back of the bottle it's basically nothing that will help fix a scar. A scar is a scar there's no removing it it's mainly a placebo. I won't buy this again and I won't recommend it either.

IT TAKES A WHILE, BUT IT WORKS
We were making s'mores and I dropped a flaming marshmallow on my leg. Ouch is right and it gave me a nasty blister. After this blister pretty much healed I was left with red scar on my leg. I turned to Mederma for help and I am thankful. Months later I can't even see wear I had burned my leg. If you use this product you have to be diligent and keep applying every day and at least twice a day. It is a clear gel that is kind of slippery with a faint, pleasant scent. Very easy to apply.

Worked the way it said it would
I used this on a scar I had on my arm. After a few uses, I could see a difference in the scare. It lightened it up and was noticeably making a huge difference.

Bye bye scars
I used this product on a scar that I had on my leg. The scar was really ugly. I ran into a sharp piece of metal and it scraped a big chunk out of my leg so the scar was actually indented. After using this product everyday my scar is gone completely. I can't even tell it was ever there. This product really works and it's truly amazing!!

Seeing improvement on a recent scar
I have tried this product on a scar from the past few weeks on my hand and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. The scar appears to have faded a bit, it’s edges seem less hard: also like the texture, it’s got a good slip to it

Works but needs time for older scars!
This is a great product. I have scars on my legs from eczema that are pretty old. The scars aren't very prominent but I wanted to see if Mederma scar gel works. I used this everyday for a week and didn't see much of a difference but I decided to use it longer and it's now over 2 weeks and I do see that the scar has faded. It took a while of consistent use though. I am not sure how effective it would be on darker scars but I think with consistent and prolonged use, it would work.

Mederma Advanced Scar Gel
Mederma Advanced Scar Gel is lightweight on my skin and unscented. I used it under my moisturizer and there was no bad interaction. I can't give a great review because it will take a while to reduce the appearance of my old scars but it seems promising. In the days that I have used it, I see no difference or lightening.

I like how this feels on the skin, it sinks right in. I haven't noticed a huge difference in my scars after using this for sometime, but i noticed them fading a little bit

The product is supposed to be used for 6-8 weeks on new scars so I have not seen many results after 2 weeks. The product is light and doesn’t have a smell.

Use wisely
This product is basically a resurfacing gel. Use a lot of moisturizer when using this product. I have sensitive skin and it caused my face to peel. Not use if it helps with scars due to needing to use long term.

Scare Gone
I had a cut on the top my finger from a kitchen mishap. I was able to apply this product twice a day and in about three I couldn’t tell where it was to begin with. I like that it’s clear and not sticky so it wasn’t messy and easy to apply under a bandage.

Works great!
I actually thought this product did exactly what it said it would do. As soon as I applied this product it would make my scars less and less visible after every use. The only thing I would have to complain about is you really have to use a large amount of products during 1 application for it to properly work.

Worked Well
I used the gel on a two week old scar by my eye and a older scar. Both scars lighted up a in within two weeks. The newer scar disappeared within three weeks. This product works really well on my darker skin tone.

Easy to apply unsure of efficacy
I’ve been using this on a facial scar for weeks. It’s runnier than expected, but I like that it’s clear. It also seems to rub in easily and you can’t see it at all. I also love the mild scent. Since I use it above my lip, it’s nice to have a very gentle clean fragrance. It does say it will take much longer to see results on older existing scars, so I’m not sure yet if it’s even working. But it’s easy enough and non-irritating even on my sensitive face, so I will continue to use.

Didn't work as fast as I hoped. The product leaves my skin feeling stiff and sticky. I like that the product is clear color and odorless. My scars that I was targeting are still visible, but I will continue using until it's done
