j5create USB-C Dual 4K HDMI Dock without PD 3.1 Pass Through Charging

Upgrade your office/gaming desk setup with the j5 Create Type-C dock! I recently got one and couldn't be more excited. With the dock, I was able to easily connect my monitor, keyboard, and speaker. It's the perfect addition to any workstation and will make your setup more efficient and streamlined. Don't wait any longer to take your workspace to the next level! I love that I am able to plug one power cord that I normally use for my laptop into the j5 and it powers all of my other devices.

Appearance: The packaging of the product is pretty good and the product has a good appearance. It does feel a little lightweight and plastic-y. Functionality: the product has a great number of ports that would cover all day to day needs. However, getting this to work is not as simple as you’d expect. Firstly it DOES NOT come with an input usb-c power adapter or cable. I used a 2019 MacBook Pro adapter and cable to power the dock and it worked. Next, only one of the HDMI ports works out of the box. You need to install a driver to get the other HDMI port to work. They do mention this in the packaging and user manual. You do this by downloading and installing the driver from the j5create website. When I tried this on my 2017 windows laptop, the other HDMI port did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver multiple times but it still did not work. For the one HDMI port that does work, the monitor display looked fine and as expected. Other ports seem to work fine.

Wee let's try this again. I've already written this review 3 times and each time it dissappear and asks me to review again. We actual loved this device and I am planning on buying 2 more for myself and my other son. My son tested this out, he is 22 and he loves it. Allows him to plug his laptop, camera, wireless mouse all at once as well as charge his phone and run video! We highly recommend!

This device is very cool!! Not onny does it satisfy your need to add up to two more monitors to your system but it comes with other bells and whistles. The charging Bluetooth port is super handy for your phone or tablet to charge with. Having the ability to keep your home set up including your speakers hooked up and all you have to do iOS undock from ONE CORD ONLY to travel is a game changer!!!!

I really enjoyed this! I haven't had a specific need for it in my life, but now that I've tried it, I think it would be pretty hard to go without it. It's super handy, easy to use, and endlessly portable. I can connect EVERYTHING! If you want or need to connect multiple devices, this is THE product to use!

I love this dock, I'm using it with my MacBook Pro which is over 10 yrs old. I'm able to plug in my wireless mouse adapter, wireless keyboard adapter, iPad charger, portable scanner AND my cell phone charger. The dock itself is small and doesn't take up too much room on my smaller desk. It's easy to set up just plug in and play. I highly recommend for multiple device users.

I really loved this product. I like it because it was fast it was easy to use everything tried worked amazingly. I don't think there's anything I'd change about it. And I would absolutely recommend this to others.

Works well with my laptop's power adapter (it does not come with an adapter of its own). I had to install a driver for the HDMI ports, but once that was done, then it worked really well and projected to 2 monitors. Pretty good selection of ports and so far it does not get too hot. The addition of the micro SD/SD card readers is a huge plus.

I thought in my huge box of junk I had an adaptor. I didn't. I ordered it from Amazon because all the ones I did have didn't work. I read the instructions and then, just gave it to my husband to deal with. I am not a tech person. Technology has rejected me completely. But once he plugged everything in it worked just fine. It has so many ports. If you have a bunch of stuff to plug in this is your best bet. It has everything labeled! That is the best thing ever.
