Works pretty well
It is great for bikes that have a seat lip on the underside, if it does not you have to bungee the hoist to the seat to use.

Strong but not right
This is a well built lift kit, but it needs some modifications. The hooks for lifting the objects should be curled, or bent a little more. When I starting pulling the adult tricycle up, the hooks slid off the handle bars. Causing some damage on the brake cable and front reflector. Also, the metal brackets with the pulleys on them, that attach to a 2"x4" should have the mounting holes moved inward a little. The holes are so far to the outside of the bracket that you have to drive your screws in at a slight angle , otherwise you will not have enough wood for the screws to grab unto.

Good bike hoist
Installing this one a little tricky because you do need a ladder and a few other things. A second person would make things a bit easier also. I recommend using different screws than what it came with. They are kind of cheap. If you are using your bike every dayI’m not sure I would recommend this kind of storage. But if you only use it once a week then it’s worth it hoisting it up and down. I recommend bending the hooks a little more to hold the bicycle in place better

My husband had not trouble installing it in our garage. We only have 1 bicycle so only Installed 1. It hooked on fine and raised easily. It doesn’t look like it will fall off hoping it doesn’t.

Essential For Garage Space
We live in an area where biking everywhere is a way of life, but we also need our garage space as well. We have four bikes hanging thanks to buying these hoists and I cannot say enough about them. They are easy to use and provide enough rope for whatever your space needs. I cannot say enough about how great they are.

Hang them high
Take your time, read the instructions and plot out the placement of the hanger. I recommend using diffent screws for attaching the brackets to the mounting board. The ones that came with the kit are cheap and strip easily. I prefet something with meatier threads. the 1/4" by 3" lag bolts they recommend (not included) are sufficient. I did as others recommended and bent the hooks a bit more so it's more of a "J" not an "L" shape. there's a whole at the top of the hooks so I added a couple of carabiner clips and some rope for added security. Plenty of rope is supplied. Be sured to have your bike lowered before you cut off any excess rope.

It is solid, attractive and came in with good instructions for installation. It was a breeze to install them in garage. Lifting bikes is easy and the hoist syst works as expected.
