I recently tried the Bamboo BBQ Chips and was pleasantly surprised by their unique take on the traditional BBQ flavor. Although they didn't taste exactly like the classic BBQ chips I'm accustomed to, I found the distinct taste quite intriguing and enjoyable. I think I would really enjoy these as a salad topping.
These chips were very unique in their texture. While the chips were fresh and crunchy, the texture of the bamboo almost made the texture of the chips seem stale. Fortunately, the BBQ flavoring was very good and my wife and I happily finished our bag. While this may not be my first choice of snack, it does taste good and I’m impressed with how they tasted with such a low calorie count and with a lot of fiber!
Pros: Healthy and sustainable snack, according to the insert. It was not overly salty, as many snacks are. It was flavored perfectly and not overpowering. Cons: It had a strong woodsy smell to it -- that smell that some "healthy" snacks have. I'm not a fan of that smell, and we all know smell is crucial to taste. The taste was strange -- I tried the "BBQ" variety, but I don't think it was that. I think there was some strong sesame flavor throwing it off, or maybe that's the taste of the bamboo? I don't know, but it did NOT work. The texture was BAD. Chips are supposed to be crisp and brittle (at least that's how I like mine). These were crumbly/"soggy" -- like if you'd left a bag of normal, brittle chips open for a couple days, and it soaked the water from the atmosphere and gets kind of soft/crumbly and loses its crispiness... Overall: Until they fix the BIG texture issue and the overpowering sesame(???) issue, I would NOT recommend this snack to anyone at any price.
I was not sure what to expect for these barbecue bamboo chips. The smell, color and texture were slightly off-putting but overall had a pretty good taste. Not as crunchy as I would have liked the chip to be and barbecue flavor profile wasn't very strong but I would snack on these as a healthy chip alternative.
These chips have a thicker texture similar to plantain chips. While they are not my favorite, I appreciate the healthy aspect and flavorful barbecue seasoning on them.
Love the taste of BBQ Bamboo Chips, not too salty and not too sweet. Flavor profile is great. Texture wise, I wish it was more crunchier. Was looking for that crunchy bite.

Alot like Sesame sead chips
My girls were so excited to try these chips and so was I. NUA Bamboo Chips BBQ chips reminds me alot of Sesame sead chips which I do enjoy. The flavor of the BBQ I did not care for and was very over powering that I would/couldn't eat very many of them. I'm excited to try their other flavor some day but the BBQ flavor was a huge miss in my house.
NUA Bamboo BBQ Chips are a wonderful snack. They are sweet with a little bit of savory. My family really enjoyed them, they are hard to put down and just enjoy one. They have a wonderful crunch and a bit of sweetness. I really enjoyed the BBQ flavor and love that they are a healthier alternative to regular chips. I’ve never tried bamboo chips before but I am now intrigued and hope they have more flavors. They are a bit reminiscent of a plantain chip and have a great crunch. They are the perfect snack and I feel confident choosing them for the whole family.

Amazing flavor
I am used to eating specific brand but was so amazed with the flavor of this bbq flavor which I over-liked. The saltiness was so adequate and crunchiness was so good. This will rule the consumers market!
these were definitely different, I can't say that I like then or not yet but I don't hate them so I will try them again. with anything new I think it just might be something I'm not used to but since it is a healthy alternative to the junk I normally eat will definitely buy again
These chips were ok. I could taste the BBQ flavor but they tasted a bit stale and softer than other chips. Maybe I got an older batch, I'd be willing to try them again.
I really like these chips. They took some getting used to at first, but they are really addicting

Good flavor on these chips
The bamboo barbecue chips tasted really good. There was flavor in every chip, very well seasoned. I have not received it a package with a name on it . I only received a foil package without labeling. The texture was crispy, and a little chewy, you’ll never think it’s bamboo. I grew up eating bamboo, there was nothing in those chips that will remind me of bamboo.
I like the taste of these chips, and the amount of flavor is really good. It is a good substitute when you are craving chips but want a healthier alternative. I really like the amount of flavor per chip and how they are consistent. I am not so sure about the texture. They are not as crunchy as I normally prefer my chips to be.
I didn't know what to expect with these chips. I'd had veggie chips before, but not bamboo chips. They tasted good. I'm not sure I would have described the flavor as BBQ. The flavor isn't comparable to the BBQ flavor for chips. But it still tastes good. I can't quite pinpoint what it tastes like to describe it. It isn't oily. It feels light. They are filling, so I didn't find myself eating the entire bag in one sitting.
