4.6 5 0 73 73 The Slice® Super-Safe™ Carton Opener is a unique knife with a design that’s ideal for those with dexterity issues or anyone wearing work gloves. Its large, circular handle fits comfortably in the palm for straight, flush cuts. Press the orange button with an index finger to unlock the blade guard. Then, press the tool down, flush, onto the cutting surface and pull to make the cut. Once the 10477 is no longer held against the cutting surface, its blade guard redeploys, keeping the user safe in the event of a slip.

I prefer this to scissors I was using
I have been cutting the tape on boxes with a pair of scissors, and this is a much safer alternative. I have started using it with every single package. I do wish it was shaped in a more ergonomic way, though. I find the circle hard to grasp, and I have to think about the correct way to grab it each time: still a great improvement over the way I was opening boxes.

Opening made easy
I love this product. It makes opening packages a breeze. It is safe for my kids to use. It is easy to use. This is one of my favorite gadgets. I may give these out as gifts next year.

Awesome!
I recently got the Slice Super Safe Carton Opener and it has been a godsend! I have a lot of touble opening packages due to carpal tunnel, but this had made opening boxes a breeze! I got one for my husband to use at work & he loves that he can use it while wearing his work gloves! Slice has saved him so much time!

The one thing you never knew you needed

User friendly opener
I received the Slice Super-Safe Carton Opener and immediately used it. The opener is very easy to use whether you are right or left handed. I liked the retractable blade which provides another level of safety. I would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect for box tops
I receive a dozen or so boxes a day and I love this new carton opener. It's so much safer for my 8 year old daughter to use to help me. While it works amazingly on the top of boxes, it is a little more difficult to use on the box top sides. It is a little more challenging because there is no exposed blade right away to catch on it. Overall a great product and it will be used a lot in our home.

Simple and safe
I love how the blade isn’t exposed by default like other box cutters. It is easy to use but not always intuitive of where the blade will be especially when cutting tape of the edges of boxes.

Multipurpose Must Have!
I received the Splice carton opener for free in exchange for review. This is a product that I didn’t know I needed and now can’t live without!
