Great product
My dog is the most picky eater in the world. She used to eat certain parts of her food and spit the rest out all over the floor. She loves this dog food though. She never makes a mess anymore, which she did with every other dog food, and she knows where it is and will beg for it when it’s gone in the same way she does with treats

Perfect options for my pup
I am pleasantly surprised and so was my pup when she was able to try Optimeal Nutrient Balance Adult Dog Food, Small Breed, Lamb & Rice for a few days. She was very interested as soon as the bag arrived. She became so excited when I opened the bag, she wanted to try it right away and I gave her a couple pieces to try. This won her over right away. Since she liked this right away, we skipped the transition of slowly introducing a new dog food. The pieces are perfectly sized for her and this showed by how quickly she ate. I love that this has the ingredients that are important for her health. Since trying this out she has turned her nose up to her previous dog food and runs to the bag of Optimeal. She gets so excited and this amazes me and I love that she likes it so much.

Nice ingredients but not for small breed
The ingredients in this dog food look very good. However, my three small dogs didn’t really care for it. I have two yorkies (4 lbs, 9 and 10 years old) and a mini-goldendoodle (12 lbs, 1 year old). They are slightly picky towards food, but not extremely. I think the main problem was the size. They are used to being on small or even toy breed size food. This food is significantly larger than their typical small breed food. While the ate it at first, they quickly started leaving it and waiting for me to give them their normal food. For true small breeds, this should be slightly smaller in my opinion.

Opti Meal Premium Dog Food
This food seems to be of high quality. It came in a resealable bag which is great. It did not smell rancid other lamb kibbles I have purchased and I like that the kibble size is smaller for a small dog. But my dog is a very picky eater, she is not a fan of lamb in particular. I tried giving it to her dry and she sniffed it, and tried mixing it with a little water and she drank the liquid but leaves the kibble. The food has simple ingredients, this kibble is just not to the taste of my dog.

Small bag -didn’t see results
I gradually mixed this in with my dog’s current food over the course of a week. It was a small bag, so he only ate a full bowl of this kibble for a few meals. I didn’t notice any differences in his health or coat.

New good food
High quality small breed dry food my little mutts love. My dog is a very picky eater and will just ignore food that he doesn't like. He runs to get this and eats every last piece and always double checks that none have escaped before he runs off again. This seems like a perfect choice for him. Highly recommended !

My dog likes his new food
My dog enjoyed the Optimeal Nutrient Balance Adult Dog Food, Small Breed, Lamb & Rice. I usually give him salmon so I was unsure whether or not he would enjoy lamb, but apparently he did. I like that lamb is the first ingredient and that it's high in protein. I also really like that it has added benefits such as healthy skin and immunity benefits. So far, my dog has been enjoying is new meals. Hopefully it will allow him to be healthier.

Great quality for my 10 yo dog
My 10 yo started to have a lot of gases after eating and I was concerned there was something wrong since I just feed him dog food without mixing human food so I took him to the vet and she recommended to feed him a better quality food made with more meat so I changed slowly to Optimeal and it has solved the gases he wss passing every night. Definitely recommend for older doggos.

Gassy Dog
Ordered the small breed dog food from Amazon with gift card. Received and began feeding Fido. He got gassy immediately. Cannot switch dog food on him. The smell was horrible! Couldn’t get him from passing gas. Took over a week going back to other brand we used before the gas subsided. Not sure if it’s the food or my sensitive Fido.
