Lovely colour!
Firstly I was impressed by the smell. Probably the nicest fake tan smell I have smelt! When pumping the product out I was impressed with how dark the colour was. I found it a little more difficult to apply than my usual fake tan but next time I will try my usual tanning mitt and see if that makes a difference. It seemed to take longer to soak in than other tans I have used. The following day I was shocked at how much colour came off during my shower however even after my shower the tan developed into a lovely colour! I am now on day 3 and it is still going strong so I am impressed.

Great tanning product
I am very pale but like to get brown. This is an extra dark was a it scared it be too dark but it actually came out perfectly just the tone I like. The mouse is easy to apply with the mit. It has a smell but it's quite pleasant not too fake tan smell you get sometimes. I applied and left over night it didont staine my bedding that's a bonus. Washed off and looked perfect.

Deep natural-looking tan
I’m so impressed with this tan! It develops so evenly into a gorgeous deep shade that actually looks natural rather than orange-toned. Other ultra dark tans that I’ve used have had that strong typical biscuit tan smell but this one actually smells nice - I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Gorgeous dark tan
San Tropez never disappoints. The colour glides on, is never patchy and had a great undertone for my skin colour. If you want a lasting, dark tan, look no further. This foam applies smoothly and evenly leaving a dark guide colour that can be rinsed off after an hour for a lighter shade or 8 for a deep, dark tan. It didn’t go patchy and lasted well. The colour looked good on me (I have an olive undertone) and not ‘fake’. Definitely recommend

Sunkissed skin even in the winter
I quite like the St.Tropez Self Tan Ultra Dark Violet Bronzing Mousse, It's nice and easy to apply and dries very quickly. It doesn't have any sticky residue once applied. It was great to see there was no orangey streaks, the violet shade seems to prevent this and results in a natural, dark tan. Whilst it has a traditional fake tan scent, it isn't over powering or awful. It's very easy to put up with for a nice, streaky free tan. The tan seems to fade evenly and doesn't leave any patches around your knees or elbows. It's a nice tan, easy to use and I've had no issues.

Outstanding Tan
This is probably one of (if not the) best tan I have ever used. The application is so simple and is very quick drying. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue whilst you let the tan develop and doesn’t discolour during the development process like some others do. The violet undertones in the tan counteract the orangey notes you usually get in tan perfectly and give such a dark natural looking tan. The smell is quite a standard tan smell but isn’t overpowering to the point it becomes unpleasant. It is also fading very well and isn’t coming off in patches. 100% would recommend this to anyone looking for a dark natural tan.

Stunning Tone!
Firstly the packaging is sleek! I love the use of purple on the bottle as it mentions violet undertones so that all comes together nicely. My first impression of using this was genuinely ‘wow’ I’m mixed race so when I use fake tan it always turns out quite orange and doesn’t look natural at all so testing this has been a dream . It develops into this beautiful dark olive tone that suits me amazingly, I tried both the 1 hour express and the leave on and both turn out great but of course, the longer you leave it the better. It still has that fake tan smell that most do so that’s fine with me, but it does linger so keep that in mind. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for that natural deep tone tan to get you by until summer comes back around.

This tan is not for the faint hearted! I consider myself a tan expert, I’ve used a wide range of fake tan over the past 15 years ranging from budget to high end. First off this tan dries REALLY quickly, so you have to be really fast when blending it in. The guide colour is really dark, like most similar to a professional spray tan. It also does transfer to clothes and sheets, which is pretty standard but not ideal. I left it on overnight and woke up to a VERY dark tan, similar to a spray tan result. A lot of the guide colour washed off so the tan was no way near the depth I originally though, however it was still one of the darkest tabs I’ve used. The tan stayed looking pretty good for 4/5 days which is really good for my dry skin. The fade was a little patchy but not the worst I’ve had and I didn’t notice any snake skin effect. The smell of the tan is pretty standard, however I did feel it was less biscuity than other tans after washing it off as that smell can sometimes linger.

Great tan and colour pay off!
Lovely tan that’s easy to apply with the luxe tanning mitt, leaving no streak's. As it’s an extra dark there was a lovely colour pay off and I found the scent wasn’t too strong either. Would give it 5 stars if I didn’t already own a tan that I love more!

Amazing tan but not as dark as it says!
I’ve tanned since I was a teen and really thought this was a winner, I’ve listed the pros and cons below as to why it let me down slightly: Pros - Very even colour once washed off - Fades really evenly - Didn’t stick to any dry patches considering I didn’t have time to moisturise(no dark elbows or knees) - Lasted a good week before noticing it was really losing colour - Smelt amazing on application, florally, but it didn’t last long (as below) Cons - Nowhere near as dark as I thought it would be and I put on a thick layer. I almost needed two thick layers to get a dark tan, I’d say this is easily more of a light to medium once it’s washed off (shame) - Smelt like flowers to start with, thought it was going to be the best smelling tan I’ve had, 1-2 hrs in and I was a walking biscuit - Sets quickly on application. I noticed I’d start spreading it around my legs and one part would set and create a noticeable line I’d defo buy again but need to put two layers on!

Amazing
Really lovely self tan. Applies easily and evenly and dries relatively quickly. I also love that it makes my legs go brown which is the first time any fake tan has done this. Would 10000% recommend and buy again

A great deep tan
When I first applied this tan I was worried it was going to be too dark as it applies as a very dark foam however when I washed it off it left a lovely deep olive tan. I found it hard to apply to my hands which I don't usually with my old tan. It left them quite streaky but apart from that it is a fantastic product. It also has a nice scent to it unlike a lot of other tanning products

Was really impressed by this. Really lovely tan, no orange or green tinge to it which I have found to be an issue with some of the st tropez ones before, would be 5 stars but the scent could be a little nicer so 4 stars for me

I recently tried the St.Tropez Self Tan Ultra Dark Violet Bronzing Mousse. As someone who has experimented with various self-tanning products, this one has quickly become my go-to for achieving a flawless, dark tan. The application process is user-friendly. What's impressive is how quickly it dries, allowing you to get on with your day without the hassle of waiting for it to set. It gives my skin a beautiful sun-kissed glow without any hint of orange – a huge win in my book. Plus, the formula doesn't have that strong, unpleasant smell that's common with many self-tanners.
