L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil More than Shampoo

I didn't fall in love with L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil More than Shampoo. To start with, I don't personally care for the smell of the shampoo. I'm not scent sensitive, but it has a relatively strong, traditional perfumelike smell that I'm just not a fan of. In terms of performance, I only noticed a minor difference in the appearance of my hair. My hair is slightly smoother and softer with less flyaways, but the results haven't been observable enough for me to highly recommend this product. In fairness, I have only been using the shampoo for a week (every other day), so it's possible that I simply need to give it more time to realize greater benefits. I also wanted to note that the consistency of the shampoo is moderately thick (similar to honey), but it still lathers well. I should also say that my hair is naturally thin, fine and straight.

For the price you get a relatively small amount, and what you do get smells terrible. It is very chemically smelling.

I enjoyed the after effects of the shampoo, however, I did not enjoy the smell of it from bottle to hands but after my hair was washed and dried, it smelled awesome. My hair wasn't as soft as I expected it to be but it was very shiny and sleek. It also felt and looked alot healthier just after two washes.

I did not notice any benefits from this shampoo. I have thick and sometimes dry hair and it did not make it feel any softer or look any shinier. It also seemed my hair got greasy faster then normal.

I have a hard time reviewing how well this shampoo worked since I couldn't get past the awful scent. I only used it once and felt self-conscious all day about how terrible I smelled. It is so strong and smells of bad incense/old man. I was also confused by the instructions. The last sentence says "Please turn off water under the shower" and I have yet to figure out what this means. Loreal did not specify whether this is a shampoo that should be used daily like a regular shampoo or weekly/monthly like a hair mask (the front says "Cleanses like a shampoo, cares like a mask." I did notice that my scalp felt a little powdery, as though I had used a dry shampoo. This made me a little itchy. My hair felt about as good as usual - neither better nor worse. Overall, it's hard for me to give this a complete 0 stars since I couldn't get past the smell (read stench) long enough to try it more than once. Loreal, please change the scent of this product and clarify the instructions.

You can always always always tell a good shampoo by the moisture level it gives a 4C type hair. I have 4C hair and incase you missed, THIS SHAMPOO GAVE MY HAIR MOISTURE! and i love it!

I tried this shampoo and absolutely loved it. Just a little is all I used, and it went a long way. It was super thick, almost like a conditioner. I found it had a good suds and washed out nice and easily. It left my hair super soft and it smells soooo amazing. I can’t stop smelling my hair!

After using this shampoo for a couple of day I have noticed a difference! I have curly, dry, damaged hair and it has become softer and looks healthier. The shampoo smells a bit perfume-y but I still enjoy the smell. Would buy again

I received the L'oreal Paris Extraodinary Oil More than Shampoo and used it today for the first time it smells amazing. The shampoo doesn't give a foam as stated on the bottle however it makes the hair soft and manageable. It didn't mention anything about having to use conditioner or if it was a 2 n 1 so i added conditioner afterwards. It had a greasy film effect after using the shampoo at the roots. I like it though and would purchase again in future.

I have fine, dry, wavy hair that gets weighed down and tangled easily. This shampoo didn't weigh it down at all, despite being an oil based product. My hair felt incredibly soft and tangle free after using it the first time, and has only continued to feel better with each use. My hair has never looked shinier or healthier. I will definitely continue to purchase once I run out.

Great quality shampoo. Better then the stuff I was using before. The product looks and smells great. Would recommend.

I was so surprised by this product.I have insanely thick curly hair I normally need to follow up any shampoo with a heap of conditioner but not with this it was tangle free and so soft. I will be buying more

Using it on its own with no conditioner or leave-in products, my hair was very soft and much less frizzy than normal. It still made my hair very clean and didn't get greasy any faster than it normally would. I definitely recommend this product if you have dry, frizzy hair.

I did not like this product. I feel the instructions did not properly outline how to use it, was I supposed to use a conditioner afterward? The packaging claims 2X more detangling but my hair was very tangled after using this. This mask like shampoo did not leave my hair feeling soft and I didn’t really like the smell. overall I would not recommend this product

This stuff is amazing! My hair was soooo dry, and is now so soft after using this just one time. Fair warning - you do have to really lather it in and it takes time, but I could feel my hair becoming softer and softer as I was lathering. Still needed to use conditioner afterwards. Also don't be shy with the amount you use, it's worth it. I will definitely buy this again!
