Tefal Pure Tex Garment Steamer DT9540

Love the fact that I can un-wrinkle and remove lint against any door in about 30 seconds. I steamed and sanitised my couch upholstery. Mattress is next.

First time using this product and it went well quick and easy set up, 25 seconds to heat up, work great on clothing also tried it on my sons dribble stained underlay it didn’t get the stains out but I’m sure it sanitise it deeply, I found the unit heavy to hold especially when you had to keep your hand on the button and the water did run out quickly but I am happy with it better then ironing

Convenient tool to dewrinkle a couple of items quickly, but it doesn’t dewrinkle as good as a steam iron. I do think this will be very useful for delicate clothing that can’t be ironed. It comes with a number of different attachments. I haven’t used all of them yet. The instructions were sometimes difficult to follow. The pictures showing how to assemble the device are too small and only in black and white. But I’m confident with more practice it will definitely be a useful product in our household.

Lighter than expected for its size, the Tefal Pure Tex garment steamer easily removes wrinkles from lighter fabrics. It’s great for removing wrinkles and ‘setting’ design details (eg ruffles) on items that are difficult to iron. It does an average job of removing wrinkles from a business shirt (in the same time it would take to iron it conventionally), so if you’re looking to avoid ironing business shirts, look elsewhere (the product doesn’t claim to iron shirts!). Easy to use, it has a long cord with a velcro strap attached so it can be neatly wound and secured. Despite looking bulky, the steamer is easy to hold. The designers have clearly listened to feedback from customers; the unit uses tap water, the over-the-door hanging hook has foam pads attached to the inside to prevent paint damage (though it could use one more for the top of the door), there is an auto ‘off’ safety function and the attachments (steam, clean, fragrance) come with a storage container. This is a good one!

Works perfectly, awesome on wrinkles, brilliant on removing unwanted pet hair and the best part is the deodorising feature, i can deoderise and kill odour in my car not just disguise it. Best of all i can choose my own scent

This is definitely my favourite product I have ever tried in my life, it really does what it claims and is perfect for my household as I have 3 kids and a dog so you could imagine the mess. This helped a lot with sanitising, cleaning picking up the hair and making everything smell so so nice

The garment steamer is very easy to use. It could be a bit heavy at first, but got used to it after using it several times. It initially made some minor noise upon starting/pressing the button, but after a while the steam noise becomes stable and does what it's meant to do. For the water inlet tank, it would be great if a small cup with spout is provided so it's easier when refilling the tank. Overall it's doing its job well.

The steamer worked well out of the box, I used it on drapes to remove stains and it worked well. I also used it on a delicate dress belonging to our grand daughter which we didn't want to iron and it removed wrinkles easily. Two minor problems, firstly if using it on drapes or a sofa you need to use an extension cord if there is no power point nearby, perhaps having a rechargeable battery built in so that it becomes portable so as to take it anywhere without needing extension cords or a nearby power point. The second minor problem was with the cleaning pad has one side that is microfibre for cleaning and the other side is for lint and hair removal, unfortunately both sides of the pad say cleaning and four of us disagreed as to which side was which, we eventually solved it by using both sides of the pad as a hand held lint remover to see which was which, perhaps an indication on the pad might help.

I was quite pleased to review Tefal Smart. So I began the process, I found it easy to use, less mess no ironing boards etc.however it did take longer than anticipated and I found the clothes weren't to the standard of being ironed.

I found the Tefal Smart Protect Plus Steam Iron to be a great product and real joy to use. Not only was it simple to setup, but it took less than 30 seconds to be ready for use! I've used other steamers in the past that have taken MUCH longer than this and were nowhere near as effective is use. I love the fact that it simultaneously sanitised and ironed my garments (perfect for reusable facemasks) and with such ease! Everything from my delicate silk pillowcases to hard-wearing denim were wrinkle-free within mere seconds and minimal effort. With two steam settings to choose from and monotemp control, it treated all fabrics without any damage yet delivered wrinkle-free fresh results every time! The heat plate technology also ensured there was no dampness/wet spots left on clothing which was a welcome change from my old irons and steamers. Treated items are dry and ready to use/wear which is a massive timesaver and convenience! I can't highly praise and recommend this appliance enough.

This was my first time using a steam iron and I'm a total convert now. It was so simple to use and got the creases out of my clothes with much less effort than a standard iron. I appreciated the different heads for different purposes too- makes it so versatile.

This is a game changer. I simply hung my clothes up after I washed them and then when I wanted to wear them I got this out and gave them a go over. I also freshen up my pillows . I am going to try putting a scent in but haven’t had time.

Ill admit i was sceptical on steamers getting creases out of clothes but i was so wrong, i love it and so easy to use. We have a small baby and using steam to sanitise toys is very handy extra to the steamer. Five stars

I have wanted a clothes steamer for so long now. One day every week I stand and do all my ironing so its over and done with. I find with the steamer i am not going to do that any more i will put my clothes away and when i want to wear something I will steam it so its lovely and fresh. Also I tried it on a couple of winter jumpers and it freshens them up beautifully. I always wash all my winter clothes before putting them away for the summer but feel that when I get them out for winter they could be a bit musty and always a bit crinkled, but now with my Tefal steamer it not only gets out the crinkles but freshens them up so they smell like they have just been washed. Love it Love it Love it.
