Designer stubble easily
Great shaver with the added benefit of the stubble option and close cut blade that flicks out.

Short and Sharp..
Good solid performer.. I usually use razor blades, but used the Remington R4, then went over my face again with the razors.. To my surprise the Remington had given myself a very close shave, as the razors only cut over smooth skin.. Was very happy with the result and found the Remington to be much more convenient to use in wet or dry conditions. Great machine that lasts quite along time on it's charge, and in saying that doesn't take to long to charge when dead. Overall I was very happy with the closeness of the shave, and would definitely recommend..

Good for whole face. Not exact trimming.
Its a nice shaver. I have a beard that I keep neat and trim along my neck and cheeks. So this doesn't suit my style as much as I thought. It's not precise enough for me. The flip out trimmer is flimsy too. The actual shaver is good though if used daily

Remington Shaver
While it is a good shaver it does not get all the facial hair for a close shave I still require to use a standard razor to finish the job Also the shaver didn’t have a cleaning brush to help clean out the shavings under the heads

good quality shaver for a low price.
For the recommended retail price, it is a worthwhile investment. It gives a close enough shave for a shave every 2 days. But anything longer than a stubble is hardwork. Takes a long time. But that is what i had with a philips shaver as well.

Close shave
It provides a very good clean shave. It also gets to the hard areas on my face. Only let down is the pop shaver, seems a bit flimsy.

Manual user tries Electric Shaver
For someone that only uses manual razors this shaver was exceptional. Clean and smooth shave can use it even in the shower.

Good for the price as a backup
It’s a basic shaver. It got stuck and pulled my stubble quite often if I let it grow for more than 4 days. As a daily shaver it would be ok. Feels quite light compared to my other foil shaver.

Not for me
I really like the idea of having a stubble styler, but for someone who has thick hair it didn't work very for me. The shaver caused serious skin irritation on my neck. This happened every time I used it. I tried using it dry, different times of the day and also tried with sensitive shaving gel. The same thing happened every time.

Does the job, however a bit fussy to use
Initial thoughts: the shaver feels like its made and built with quality materials. Nice rubber exterior makes it easier to hold and an ergonomic looking design. Upon initial use however, I found it to be less user friendly than my previous shaver (Philips brand) both at a similar price point. The shaver would nick on my skin around the upper lip area (and this was not limited to the first time) so I believe it may be the way I used the shaver. However cut quality was good and on par with my Philips shaver. On subsequent uses, I followed the instructions (a circular motion should be used) which I followed and found this to be better to prevent nicks. However I found it difficult to make circular motions, and less ergonomic upon use compared to my Philips shaver. In summary, the R4 gets the job done however with specific requirements to use in a circular motion to prevent nicks makes it a bit more fussy to use hence my rating.
