Unfortunately I had high hopes for these fun looking side options for a quick and easy dinner. The kids weren't fussed on these sadly. They aren't like hot chips, more like mashed potato in the shape of a smiley face. I tried them and they tasted good, just the kids prefer a chip style.
Love potato smiles and these ones are great but they aren’t the same as they used to be. Wish they were the original size and taste and texture. Go back to the original product you released all those years ago when potato smiles first came out.
I found them quite disappointing, which was a shame, as I had been so excited for them.

Nice & Fluffy Inside
Mccain mini smiles are amazing for a quick & easy meal. They are crunchy on the outside with fluffy mashed potato on the inside. 4 stars because they're a little on the bland side but they go really well with a little bit of chicken salt.
Purchased these as I had so much nostalgia from childhood getting smilies from the canteen.
These were ok, bland and tasted nothing like the originals. Definitely needed to add a bunch of chicken salt.
They were great for a reminisce but I’d probably just continue to buy standard chips over these. Sad as I think they could of been a big hit!
I’d recommend the company make then back to their original larger size and rethink the recipe. The interior needs to be a bit better texture as this one is over puréed.

A hit of childhood nostalgia
I loved the smileys growing up and although I didn't eat them a lot, so didn't fully miss them when they were discontinued, I'm glad they've made a comeback!
The fact these are quick to cook makes it perfect for a snack with tomato sauce, however the taste of these are a bit different to the full-sized ones so had to knock a star! Would still buy again, but will always reach for the full-sized version first

Kids love them
Always a big hit with the kids, only problem is they want too many of them.
I remember having these as a kid and loving them. They are super cute and fun for kids to eat. The quick cook means they cook extremely fast which can be very handy. They don't taste as good as normal potato chips- I'm not sure what it is but they do taste slightly different. But for nostalgia reasons and because they're a bit of fun I have repurchased

Great for kids
My kids love these as they love the smiling faces on each potato. They taste really yummy and very easy to cook.
As someone thats not really inclined to prep meals beforehand, having a quick and easy product like this helps alot! flavour is similar to fries and is extremely crunchy, loved it and its now a staple in my freezer :)
I loved these for a quick addition to dinner. Just pop them in the air fryer and they are ready in no time.
They are the perfect size for my toddler as well and he loves the taste.
Maybe I cooked them wrong but even in the air fryer these were not crunchy. They also had no taste, added salt and sauce to get some flavour. The grandchildren loved the smiley faces but asked for chips the following time offered an option. Novel but won’t buy again
We used to love these smiley chips. Last few bags we have got, it seams they have changed them some how. They dont taste the same. Wouldnt be getting them again.
