Easy tasty on the go meal

I was a little sceptical judging by the squishyness of the packaging, but I was presently surprised to find that the pasta held its shape quite well and wasn’t too soggy. The sauce had a lot of flavour and there was plenty of it. The pasta itself was a good basic ravioli. The quick heating time was great and I liked that it was a good serving size and quite filling definitely good for a whole lunch.

Not bad but not rich

Heating up a packet is ok if you’re in desperate need of a quick meal and there is nothing else around. The taste is very one-dimensional and bland. I wouldn’t describe it as “rich” by any means, and I couldn’t taste the salt, let alone any ricotta or garlic. It’s still edible, but you really can’t expect much from a meal in a packet.

Quick and easy meal

Quick and easy meal for lunch at work. No need to refrigerate. Was a bit hard to find at the supermarket. Flavour was great. However, serving size is a bit small, so probably would not buy again for the price and serving size. Also found the packaging a bit gross, it's mushy in the packet, feels like eating baby food.

Heinz Ravioli sachet

I loved the portion size and taste of the Heinz Ricotta Ravioli with Bolognese and Garlic. It was so easy to heat up and the flavours were good. I'm not a big garlic fan, and it wasn't overly garlicky. The ravioli was soft and melty.

Poor taste and texture

The ravioli is quick and easy for a meal. However the actual ravioli was dry and bland, while the sauce was quite salty and overpowering. I wouldn't have this again.

Edible but not enjoyable

I married into an Italian family, and e-bike I’m now divorced I’m still fuzzy about pasta. This was edible, just. The pasta was way too soft and the sauce flavour too overpowering the smell on opening the packet was strong and reminiscent of baked beans. The packaging didn’t make sense to me. Cans are recyclable, soft plastics currently are not, so I’m not sure why Heinz moved away from what they’re known for. The produce was expensive for the quality. For the same price I could buy a soup from the chilled sections of the supermarket and it would likely be more flavourful and nutritious. There may be a market for this product but I don’t think I’m in the demographic for which it would appeal.

My review

Very convenient as a ‘on the go’ or simple meal. A little bit bland but for a microwaveable ravioli it didn’t disappoint! Serving size wasnt that filling so it would be a perfect lunch meal. I would probaly buy again

Quick, easy delicious meal in minutes

I enjoyed the Heinz Ravioli with Bolognese & Garlic. It was a quick, easy heated meal in the microwave. For a snack or meal it was nice. Had full flavour and tasted delicious. These would be great to have on hand for those meals you need something fast and tasty. I'm going to buy more and give them to my kids.

Not impressed!

This product was difficult to find on the shelves of at least 4 surrounding Woolworths stores. So I was thinking it must be good, it's so popular. Unfortunately it wasn't to my taste. It was mushy and tasted like baby food. I wouldn't buy it again and don't recommend it.

Nice Bolognese sauce.

The taste of these little ravioli's was fine, the sauce is probably the best part with the ravioli's being a little bit soft and mushy. The Ravioli's do keep their form even after stirring, but they lack a fresh taste. The Ricotta filling was quite bland and tasteless, if it was a plain pasta with the sauce you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The portion size for the price is probably a little low. For the amount you get I would be happy paying around the $3 mark not $5.30. Overall it was nice and if it came on sale I might purchase again, as a quick easy lunch or dinner meal, but I wouldn't be interested in buying at full price.

Easy and Delicious

The Heinz Ricotta Ravioli was a quick and easy meal. It is the perfect size for lunch, but perhaps a bit small for dinner. I could easily have a couple of different flavours kept at my desk for when I'm caught out at work, or would also be a perfect meal to pack when camping as it doesn't require refrigeration. The sauce has a nice flavour, and a little bit of sweetness so it wasn't too salty. There are lot's of flavours to choose from too. The packet says to cover when microwaving, but I thought I knew better..DEFINITELY cover when microwaving as it does spit a bit (serves me right for not following directions!).

A perfect Sunday afternoon meal...

When the craving for pasta strikes it's nice to have this simple tomato ravioli in the pantry. The bolognese and garlic compliments the soft ravioli perfectly.

Not too bad

This Heinz ravioli was much nicer than tinned spaghetti but not as nice as the fresh ravioli from the fridge section. The portion size was a bit small, it wouldn’t be enough to serve on its own for dinner. It only just got me by for lunch at work. Quick and easy meal. Ready in ~2mins.

it's quick but doesn't taste great

I recently tried the Heinz Ricotta Ravioli with Bologanese and Garlic. The packaging is eye catching. You have to place the ravioli in a bowl before heating. it's fast to cook, however it doesn't taste great. I found the sauce quite nice but the ravioli wasn't so good. I found it quite bland. I wouldn't be purchasing this again
