Refreshing and Deep Cleaning
The Garnier Pure Active Charcoal Cleanser is a great, affordable option for daily use, especially for oily or combination skin. It does a great job at purifying the skin without being overly harsh. However, it misses out on the fifth star because it’s not as effective at treating active breakouts as a more targeted treatment might be. While it helps with oil control and keeps new breakouts at bay, it doesn’t quite have the same intensity as products meant specifically for acne. That said, for everyday cleansing and oil control, it’s a reliable choice and worth the 4-star rating.

Noticeably smaller pores
I really enjoyed using this cleanser especially as I now have noticeably smaller pores. I find it challenging to find skincare that truly agrees with my combination skin, but this one did the trick! The fragrance initially smelt a bit like men’s cologne but the product works!

Refreshing feel
I found this product to be quite refreshing and it leaves your skin feel very clean. It was slightly harsh on the skin, I likely wouldn't keep using it for daily use and wouldn’t recommend for sensative skin. For someone with oilier skin this might be a good option.

Foams up well . Leaves face clean and
Fabulous . Love the standing bottle with pump. The design and wording and colour of branding is very appealing and nice. Even my teenager is using it too. Tje smell is lovely and fresh. Smells manly fragrance but that doesn't matter. . It's the WONDERS it does to my sk8n. My whiteboards cleared. Blackheads gone. No excess serum on face or oily face No adult acne popping up. Love it. Esp. With the cream that was sent with this cleanser .it deeply moisterises after the lovely foamy wash on face. I love that u only need a tiny squirt of 10 cent coin on wet hands n it creates loads foam when rubbed on face. I am very happy with this charcoal wash . It's not a tube one.but one that I cam press on to dispense

Amazing results

A little drying but pretty good
The first thing that I noticed about this product was the fragrance - considering how dark the bottle is I expected quite a dark or earthy smell but this was light and fragrant. The cleaner itself is a little bit tacky and I found it quite drying for my combination skin but it might suit someone with oily skin really well

Tingly charcoal face wash
In terms of cleansing I did feel clean after it and found my face improved with less blemishes, however I also found it dried out my skin a lot. At first I did break out it more pimples though but after a few weeks it stabilised. The fragrance is extremely overbearing and it felt like I was sick and sticking Vicks up my nose every time I washed my face. I also found the tingling sensation and the colour unnatural and off putting. If the colour is natural from the charcoal that is fine but it looked enhanced and not natural. The ingredients claim to biodegradable which may be true but further information on the website would be appreciated as it seems like a statement thrown in to greenwash and there is no evidence of it being. The QR code sent me to the website which had no additional info then what was on the bottle.

Can feel the clean
Garnier's Purifying Cleanser left my skin feel very refreshed and I did notice a small reduction in my blackheads. I found the cleanser a little tingling on my skin but not harsh.

Super cleanser
Overall, I’d say the Garnier Pure Active Charcoal Cleanser is a solid choice for oily or acne-prone skin. It's effective in removing impurities and controlling oil, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry. The packaging is sleek and convenient, and the cleanser itself has a nice consistency. I could tell that it’s formulated to tackle deep cleansing with its charcoal content. It foamed up nicely with a small amount of product, which I liked because it felt like it was getting into every pore. The texture was smooth, and it felt refreshing on my skin—nothing harsh or irritating, which is a relief given that my skin can sometimes be sensitive. It was refreshing, and there wasn’t any uncomfortable tightness. I noticed a mild improvement after using it consistently, I didn't see a complete disappearance of breakouts, but my skin looked clearer, and new pimples seemed to pop up less frequently.

Great cleanser
Although this product is meant for oily skin, I have combination skin and it works really well! It felt like this cleanser thoroughly cleaned my skin and pores, while not drying out my skin. This cleanser seemed to clear up redness in my skin and limited the number of pimples I had (still got hormonal acne).
