I tested Drano Bathroom Max Gel for my very slow draining bathtub and it gave amazing results. My tub was draining visibly faster. Like any other product, it isn’t magical and I had to do it a few times but it definitely gives results. Drano has a very neutral smell, definitely no chemical odour which I hate, and not too artificial flowers scent which lingers on. It’s a great formula with visible results.
Does the job well! Very easy to use. Just pour half of the bottle, wait a few minutes and pour hot water down the drain… A slow draining shower is now working perfectly!
Really needed this gel because our pipes always get blocked from excessive hair or soap grime. It's easy to use and works fairly quickly. It's great for busy families who need to clean but have less time to attend to things.

Drains AWAY
I found this to be good , having a daughter with long hair it continually blocks the shower - I poured it and left it for well over a good few hours and went back and it definitely broke down the clogginess .
It’s a
This product was small but mighty. The cap was easy to undo by an adult, yet completely childsafe. It's a shame that there were only 2 doses in the bottle so I was only able to clear out 1 bathroom and will need to buy another 2 bottles to flush out the second and third bathroom. Our shower was so clogged and the after results were truly astounding. The product was easy to dispense and didn't have a hugely offensive and strong odour. I left the product in for the full 30 minutes and definitely noticed a difference after flushing with hot water and washing my hair afterwards.
Worked amazingly well. Was impressed with not only how it cleared out the drain and increased water flow but it also really cleaned the sink and drain area.
I have used it on my dirty shower, which I have not cleaned for over 2 weeks, left the Drano for 20 minutes then some hot water and wow pretty good. Cleans really well. Definitely recommended.
I've tried many things before this gel. You name it. Mechanical removal using those long pipe cleaners, plastic ones, brushy ones... it halpes partially buy didn't remove the "clog". I then tried baking soda with vinegar and hot water. Nah, didn't make anything. I then went wild and bought the crystals. They stink but, in theory, should dissolve even your thoughts. I felt that it helped for a while, until my partner jelp shaving for a couple months and it was clogged again. Finally, the gel, my last resource to try.
Firstly, it genuinely smells good, which I was shocked. Secondly, because it's a gel, when you pour it down the sink (about half bottle), I believe it goes all around the pipe, really blending with whatever is clogging the pipe. I waited the 15 minutes and washed off with hot water for a couple of minutes. The water flow was so much better.
So far, it's been a month and still clear. I'm sticking to this gel now!!!

Drano
I received this product a few weeks ago and have waited for my drains to need them. I left hair on my drain in the shower as this product said it breaks down hair, I poured it down my kitchen, bathroom and shower drain and left for a little over 15 minutes (I forgot about it, oops!) I then poured boiling water from the kettle down each drain and as you can see in before and after photos they look cleaner. My house I relatively knew and the drains have been cleaned about 6 months ago. I was surprised this product didn’t smell to bad and it was just thick enough to line the pipes as it went down.
Not sure how I feel about this product. Did it work? A little. Was it easy to use? Yes. Would I buy it? Probably not.
Half a bottle down the drain also seems like a lot of product. Would not make it very cost affective if you have a few drains to do.
This product was great at unclogging my bath drain, there was loads of hair caught in it and it broke it all down so well, bigger bottle would be useful as you need to use a lot each time according to the instructions
Drano Bathroom Max Gel is an effective solution for clogged drains. I've used it multiple times, and it has consistently delivered excellent results. The thick gel formula clings to clogs, breaking down hair, soap scum, and other debris efficiently. Within 15 minutes, my slow-draining sink was completely cleared, restoring normal flow.
The product is easy to use: just pour, wait, and flush with hot water. There's no strong chemical odor, which is a plus for those sensitive to smells. However, caution is needed as it can be harsh on certain types of pipes if used excessively.
One minor downside is the need for multiple applications for more severe clogs, but overall, Drano Bathroom Max Gel offers a reliable and quick fix for common bathroom drainage issues. It's a must-have for any household dealing with frequent clogs. Highly recommend it for its potency and ease of use.
