I’d never considered water flossing before but jumped at the chance to try Colgate’s Blast Series 2 through Home Tester Club!
First impressions:
Looks very sleek!
Love how the settings glow through the silver panel.
Device is rechargable & handheld.
Three different nozzle types included to cover all your bases.
Notable things:
Device was larger than expected but is comfortable to hold.
You’ll need to refill the water reservoir a couple times during your session but it’s easy to do.
Water flossing is messy at first but over time you get better at it. Use over the sink and move the nozzle along your gum line by feel. If you try to watch yourself water flossing in the mirror you will get water everywhere!
The battery definitely doesn’t last as long as they claim per full charge.
The verdict:
My teeth and mouth feel clean after use. Also can use to remove food particles from crevices of molars.
I have been testing the Colgate Blast Water flosser 2 for a week.
I am in two minds about it.
A week isnt enough time to tell if it makes a big enough difference.
A) it doesnt replace flossing
B) I am time poor especially mornings.
C) Price
D) Usb charging
Takes a bit of getting used to.
I found it messy to begin with, having to remember to switch off when changing to different areas in the mouth
I still needed to floss prior & at a Retail cost is aprox $200
This would be out of my budget.
Charging is via a usb cable. That was frustrating. I had to keep relocating my phone charger to the bathroom to recharge.
Battery wastes quickly & I needed to refill the tank mid use.
If you have sensative teeth, like I do,I suggest using warm water.
There is a small case for the varous tips. However a better stand that includes storage & perhaps a alternative to the usb charger should be considered.
Messy when cleaning all the bits, left on a towel on the counter in between use.

COLGATE BLAST SRIERS 2 FLOSSER
I was amazed how my teeth feel, incredibly clean after flossing, does and excellent job. My teeth and gums have never been healthier.
The five modes of flossing worked well.
The only downside is the interactive LED display. Could not read this and didn’t light up. Even when it did light up it was almost invisible and was not suited to it’s function.
The Colgate Blast Series 2 water flosser is easy to use and ergonomically friendly. It comes with the cordless flosser, 3 different nozzles plus a storage case for them and a USB charging cord in the box. The flosser has 5 different cleaning modes depending on what pressure is best for you and what cleaning need you are trying to accommodate. The first charge took about 2 hours to complete and lasted less than a week with twice daily usage, however I am sure it might have something to do with user error, having to turn it on and off quite a bit in learning the correct techniques. The flosser cleans quite well and I was left with a dentist clean feeling after the first use which was quite a surprise for me. If you do not use the full tank of water, it is difficult to fully empty to dry as the tank is attached to the flosser. I found I had to leave the filling hole open to try to dry it out. The nozzle also will not dry fully as it is quite narrow and hard to air out.
I have only ever traditional tooth floss so was definitely keen to try this out, it didn’t disappoint, the instructions were easy to follow and the machine itself is very aesthetic and simple to use. Once I completed charging the unit it stayed charged for almost a week which was very impressive.
I really like the different pressure heads and at first I was skeptical it could do a good Clean with just water but boy was I wrong ! The spray is very strong and direct it flossed all my teeth removing stubborn food and grime from hard to reach places , my mouth felt very clean and fresh after use and I felt no need to reach for traditional floss , I did find if I wasn’t careful the water would spray outside my mouth on my shirt etc but not enough that it was an issue not to use, I also found the actual unit although nice looking it did take up large space on my small vanity however the clean feeling results make up for this ! I have sensitive gums and I found no issues
The Colgate Blast Water Flosser Series 2 offers a promising solution for dental hygiene enthusiasts. With its compact design and efficient water flossing technology, it provides a convenient alternative to traditional flossing. The device's pulsating water jets effectively remove plaque and debris, promoting gum health and preventing cavities. Its customizable pressure settings cater to individual preferences, ensuring a comfortable and thorough cleaning experience. However, i find the water reservoir capacity limiting for extended use. Overall, the Colgate Blast Water Flosser Series 2 delivers on its promise of enhancing oral hygiene with its user-friendly design and effective performance.
This Water Flosser exceeds expectations with its impressive performance, ease of use, and overall effectiveness. With its advanced features and ergonomic design, it offers a convenient solution for maintaining optimal dental hygiene. Whether you're seeking to improve gum health, combat plaque buildup, or simply enhance your smile, this water flosser proves to be a worthy investment.
I’ve been looking at getting a water flosser for a while now and I’m so happy to have the Colgate blast water flosser 2. It is easy to use, comfortable in the mouth, and effective.
I liked using this flosser. I think it makes a great addition to flossing teeth however I don’t think it should replace completely flossing your teeth. I found that I still needed to floss my teeth with tape to really get rid of the plaque. However, I found the water flosser great for removing debris from my teeth.
I’m also not great at flossing every single day, so the water floss are can be a great when I just don’t feel like using the tape. But I definitely don’t recommend it replacing the tape.
It did take me a few goes to get used to it and the different type of water pressure . It was definitely more pressure than I was expecting. But it’s pretty easy, friendly and easy to navigate

changes how I floss
Great product! It has completely changed how I floss! It gets in hard to reach places and very easy to use. There are also different settings which range in different water pressures. My teeth were left feeling cleaner and sparkling.
Instructions were easy to follow but I had a bit of trouble trying to open the charger port lid. I would recommend this product to anyone like me who used to be too lazy to floss!
The product and flossing process was so different to what i'm used to. The water pressure and vibrations of the device did feel like I was at the dentist (in a good way)
I would recommend it although the only part i would change is the force of the water flow as it is quite strong and there was a lot of splashing involved, particularly the first time

Terrible
I did not enjoy this product at all - I usually floss every day for reference. I was really excited for a water flosser - less waste, thought it might feel nicer...
I found the device hurt my gums even on the gentle setting.
I also found I had to refill the tank 3-4 times to even get close to having cleaner teeth. It was very inconveninet.
I still had to use dental floss afterwards to get my teeth properly cleaned.
There seems to be no way to use the device without spraying water everywhere - I could only use it in the shower, which meant trying to refil the tank from the shower head multiple times and having a longer shower.
Had to recharge every 3-4 days too, which feels very frequent given it is used for maybe 10 minutes day.
The only real benefit is it's easier to target teeth in the back parts of the mouth, but I'd rather fiddle with dental floss and spend an extra few minuteas and not have to recharge, refill the tank, make a mess everywhere...
look this was great but from someone who has never used one before it surprised me how strong it actually is.
super easy to use and the instructions make sense if you’ve never used one before. i liked it!

Effective product
I recieved this free from home tester and Colgate in exchange for my honest review. You must read the instructions before use. I found it gentle on my teeth and gums looked alot better for. The battery lasts ages and the reservoir is easy to fill. I would recommend this product
I've never used a water flosser before so this was a whole new learning experience. On first use, big mistake! I used it straight after brushing my teeth at night, over the sink, and the water splashed EVERYWHERE! If you want to clean your bathroom mirrors every night, then keep using it this way, but after that experience, I read some reviews and realised the best time to use it was in the shower. After about the fourth day, I finally got the hang of it with the right settings for me and technique, so got to see some proper results. The water flosser did remove some of that fuzziness that accumulates over the day, so it did leave my teeth feeling a bit cleaner, but it certainly doesn't replace a good manual toothbrush and string floss, particularly for between the back teeth where it (or my technique) seemed to struggle to get a good clean. It's a cool device, and probably useful for those with braces, but it's not a necessity. I wouldn't be buying this product at full RRP.
