Honesty & Disclosure

At Home Tester Club we want your honest opinion. We know that and you know that, but to make sure that everyone who reads your review on Facebook, Instagram, your blog or youtube review, knows it there are a few key things we need you to do:

  • Tell people that you received your product for free. The best way (but not only) is to use a #freeproduct #complimentary or similar hashtag.
  • We automatically do this for you on the Home Tester Club site, but if you’re reviewing anywhere else or sharing your review on social media, you need these hashtags.

Why? Well most importantly we want everyone who reads your review to know that you didn’t pay for the product and that may influence your review (we hope it doesn’t, we want your honesty!) Also, regulators around the world (in the United States the Federal Trade Commission) require you to, and there are consequences if you don’t follow these guidelines.
