Wasn't able to test
I wasn't able to test this since I had a problem. I was told not to review it since I hadn't used it, but I keep getting notifications and think I am now on the naughty list.

Really good, but dog was not fond of it
We tried the dog door prior to installing to make sure dog would use it, we used a door inside the home going to the playroom since we were remodeling and going to replace it. One dog was terrified of it, no matter how much we coaxed him, the other dog didn’t seem to like the hard flap. Overall, if your dog is used to dog doors or we had more time to review (I received this only days before my review was due), then I think it is nice looking, sturdy, and a great investment.

Ruined in transit
The package was damaged during transit. There was a candle or some other item that spilled over the product. This is the best smelling doggie door, it smells just like vanilla. I did inspect the door and it seems like it is good quality but it was unusable due to the waxy substance that covered the product.

Perfect for our cat!
We just recently got a cat and were trying to let it keep some space away from our big dogs. She can come and go from upstairs to down when she needs space away. This is our first pet door so I don’t have a lot of experience. It looks really nice and is fully functional.

A Bit Disappointing
I think this product would work best on a flat portion of drywall that can be cut through to the outside, or a flat door without any beveled panels or glass. In concept this would work fine under those conditions, with great likelihood you'll have to add some additional caulking and/or insulation around the door.

Works well but tough to install
This Hakuna pet door works great for my 12 pound mix dog. She’s never used a pet door before but got the hang of it pretty quickly. The door has a flap on it that closes flush against the frame. It is also easy to push open in either directions, yet it keeps the rain, wind and elements outside. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because it is a challenge to install. Make sure you have the tools, know-how, and patience before you start. The door itself is made of quality and sturdy parts, but is only as good as your installation. If you follow the directions, you will be happy with the results. I would recommend this pet door to other dog owners. It is very convenient for both human and dog. It also comes in handy when we are not home throughout the day. Our pup can let herself out anytime she wants!

Great Addition
The Hakuna Pets pet door is a great addition to our household of 3 dogs. This allows the dogs the freedom to go in and out of the house as needed. I would recommend this product to others looking for this type of convenience in their home.

Too Small
While Jack and I were super excited for the pet door we were unfortunately disappointed by its size. While Jack could squeeze through the door and is a small guy at 16 pounds he really didn’t like to use it. The door was an awful tight fit for someone as small as him and I can’t imagine a dog any bigger fitting through.

Love
I absolutely love it. My cats enjoy it. I can't sleep with a door open this is a perfect compromise. They come and go as they please. They even play with the door at times bating at it. I will getting more for the rest of rooms in the house except the bathroom.... I don't need an audience.

Love this
I love this pet door for my new puppy. Easy in and out of the door without having to constantly open the door. This is perfect size for pet under 10 lbs.
