Fab product!
Great for oily skin! Great for clearing up breakouts and very hydrating! Helps reduce my redness around nose and mouth areas also which I struggle with! Great product! Will maybe buy again!

Good for sensitive skin
This moisturiser has a gel consistency rather than being a cream which was better for my oily skin and absorbed well. The niacinamide did seem to help control my oily skin and after a couple of weeks use it didn’t seem as shiny. The product is unfragranced, I guess that’s good for sensitive skin. Personally I prefer a light fragrance, this product almost smells like it’s past its use by but it’s not. Personally I didn’t find it overly moisturising but I did like that it kept the shine at bay for a few hours.

Cleared and soothed my breakouts
I was really impressed by this product, it was soothing and calming for my hormonal breakouts, reduced redness and helped clear up pesky spots. The texture was a cooling gel and it sank in quickly, and looked natural with makeup. A little went a long way and I think it is very cost efficient

Very mositurising
Love the gel texture as it is not sticky or feels too heavy on my skin, while at the same time does the job to moisturise my skin. Highly recommend.

Great gel moisturizer
It's a very lightweight fragrance free gel moisturizer with a good amount of niacinamide and panthenol. It hydrated my skin very well especially now that we are in the colder months.

Didn't quite work for me
Helped with some dry patches but overall wasnt very good for my skin, left with more spots from it and was quite greasy afterwards. Would be better for people with normal skin than oily.

Light, hydrating and effective
I would like to thank Hometesters club for introducing me to this Neutrogena Clear and Defend to test and review. This is a nice light weight formulas that really helped to maintain the oils in my skin. Its gel like formula really helped my combination skin, it is soothing and almost cooling to the skin as well as being hydrating. While I like something more emolient at night, during the day this is perfect for use under makeup. This is the perfect primer, while it's hydrating, it reduced my oil and gave me a slight glow. Highly recommended.

Lightweight Moisturiser
This product is really lightweight and sinks into your skin. I have combination skin and this is perfect. You can put make up over it without it Pilling. I like that it has niacinamide as this helps with oil production.

It works!
The cream is very light on the skin, perfect for oily skin. It does not clog pores and it helps to improve my spots. It does not have a smell and it’s of a good price. I would highly recommend it!

Worth a try if…
…you struggle with dry spot prone skin. The gel is a lightweight moisturiser and it has worked well on my combination skin.  I’ve used twice a day for a few weeks now, it’s made my skin feel soft and helped with the dryness I often get around my nose once the weather starts to change. It absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky.  The niacinamide helps to minimise pores and although I did have a few breakouts when I first started using the gel, these quickly dried out and I haven’t really had any breakouts since. It’s worth trying if you want something to tackle dry skin and spots at the same time.

Hydrating and brightening
As a busy working mum I have to admit that my skin care routine and cleansing isn't the best (neither is my diet!) which has resulted in more acne prone dull looking skin. I found this moisturiser to be light weight and glide on easily without leaving any sticky residue. I was impressed that my skin felt instantly hydrated and softer but also brighter and more glowing. I didn't see much in the way of a reduction of spots though. However I would recommend if you have sensitive skin as there is no fragrance and it did not cause any irritation at all.

I have had a great experience with this moisturiser. It has simple, effective ingredients and hasn’t caused any skin irritation or breakouts. It is lightweight enough for my combination skin but still has good moisturising properties

Lovely product
I’ve been using this product now for a few weeks and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft. It’s great that’s its fragrance free aswell and also it dries instantly aswell which I love! Definitely recommend and will be buying more when i run out.

Decent moisturiser
I liked how lightweight this product is, so it worked well with my other skincare products - most of all, I liked how it didn't break me out further. There's no fragrance, really easy to apply and it absorbs into my skin really quickly. I found that it helped with keeping my skin soft and smooth. Good budget moisturiser if you're not wanting a really thick heavy moisturiser.

Very hydrating
I love the texture of this moisturiser. This is indeed a very pleasant gel that’s moisturising enough and is absorbed by my skin easily.I do enjoy the way it feels on my skin and gives a lovely dewy look.
