I work in construction, so I’m always getting cuts and scrapes, and Polysporin helps heal things up quickly. I find that it also makes the cuts scar less.

Best in effectiveness
We are a family that has 2 or 3 different types of Polysporin in the house at all times. It is the best for keeping cuts and boo boos from getting infected and help speed up healing time compared to using nothing at all. Keeps scarring to a minimum, and with the added pain reliever, it takes the nasty sting or throb that can accompany a painful papercut, hang nail, or cut from glass. This has been around forever and the reason why is because this stuff really works!!
I've used this recently, but my dad has been using it for years because he is highly diabetic, and has a lot of abscesses. He constantly gets small abscesses on his body, and this is the only over the counter infection protecting ointment the doctor recommends. It prevents his small abscesses from turning into huge infections.
I seriously love Polysporin creams! They are effective, well-trusted brand for medicinal oitments/creams/topical treatments. This Polysporin Plus is a very effective medicinal cream when one gets a cut and it is bruised. I applied this cream to the wounded area for 7 days straight and there was no scars or brusies remaining on the eighth morning. I am an avid cyclist so falls and scrapes and bruises are quite common ...Polysporin Plus is my number 1 go-to. I always have it in my medicine box. It is worth every penny.
This works fast to heal. There is no burning or stinging. Feels nice on contact and dries quick so I can put on a bandage right away. There is no scent. The tubes lasts a really long time.

Polysporin Pain Plus
Polysporin Pain Plus is another cream in the first aid line, with extra pain protection (the lidocaine) works wonderfully and the smoothing lidocaine works fantastic on cuts and nicks that happen in the shower or the kitchen. Another wonderful product from the family of Polysporin creams and ointments.

Good to keep on hand
This is your normal Polysporin + lidocaine. So in addition to helping minor cuts and scrapes heal, you get the added benefit of pain relief. This will now be my regular "go to" Polysporin product that I keep on hand.

Works great on pain!
Love this product for use on cold sores. Does wonders to numb the pain and rubs in nicely to help moisture at the same time.
I use this product for painful cuts and burns. I also have Urticaria and I used this on my painful edema from the rash. Was so soothing when nothing else worked. It takes the pain out of burns really well too. Highly recommend.
I got a cut and I put polysporin on. Luckly my cut did not get infected and it healed quickly. It also didn't hurt because I applied polysporin

Works but isn't special.
We did not find that the Polysporin Plus Pain was any better than other antibiotic ointments available on the market. That said, it was still effective in what it promised to do, I just don't know that things hurt less for it. Also hard to tell from a small cut and that's all we had to work with.
