If only it worked as good as it looked.
On first appearance, I was very impressed. The style and look of the toaster would make me happy to keep it on the bench as part of a display piece in the kitchen. As with all toasters, there's a bit of trial and error as to what settling is required for the item needing to be toasted. Bread - One section of the toaster cooked perfectly, while the other section toasted one side of the bread a lot more than the other. Upon inspection, I noticed one toaster section was short changed on the heating element. Another issue was both section's heating elements only had half raise when heated. Crumpets - Unfortunately, this toaster continuously failed at cooking crumpets. The underside of the crumpet's edges would burn before the the rest of it was ready. I have not had this with other toasters.

Russell Hobbs Stone Textured Toaster
Attractive 2 slice toaster, however I feel the stone texture will be difficult to keep clean in a generally humid kitchen environment. The toaster burns on 4 and lightly toasts on 3 so it is taking some getting used to in order to achieve preferred toasting. 3 is perfect for English muffins though (unless you like them well toasted)!

Functional
It's a smart looking toaster, neutral colour, although I find the stone texture a little strange. It fits thick slices of bread easily. On the number 2 setting it toasted my bread exactly the way I like it. The cancel, reheat and defrost functions are handy. It smelt a little funny on my first couple of tries, but I'm sure that's because its a brand new item. Overall a good product.

Beautiful modern toaster
A beautiful modern toaster that cooks evenly, quickly and most importantly has an incredible feature where you can lift up the toast to see how cooked it is without breaking the cooking cycle. It's new, modern, and easy to use. Move over old toaster there is a new one in town.

Super toaster, great features, nice look
Great toast. Liked the look of the stone texture and steel together (though I do wonder how it will look in time with kids and grubby fingers compared to an easy clean flat surface). Great variety of features like the defrost(seeing as I keep my back up bread in the freezer), reheat, cancel, high lift. The slots wider to fit thicker slices in it. Nice even browning (unlike my old one) It’s a bonus how it has a 2 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year. Not suitable for high loaf bread or those with a large family though.

Sleek looking
Love the sleek look of the toaster and found it worked very well, didn’t seem to take as long as my old toaster. My two year old was very happy that she was able to put the toast down to cook by herself without any help

Toasted delight
I had the pleasure of been chosen to test the Russell and Hobbs 2 slice stone textured toaster The first thing I notices what the beautiful textured light stone and what a stunning addition to my kitchen all my friends love the look and feel, the toast is cooked just the way I like it every time and it's so quick it even copes with lager and thicker pieces of bread,I really like the reheat option it warms the toast right back up without drying out my toast witch is great when you have kids! I also love the lift and look function it also has a defrost option that has come in handy over all very eazy to use. butt to be honest I would not expect anything less from Russall and Hobbs one very happy tester 10/10.

Great toaster!
First of all, the look and aesthetics of the toaster is very beautiful. The stone texture goes well with any kitchen as it’s neutral and super stylish. Also it’s very spacious and can fit thick toasts which is definitely a plus as I’ve had issues with other brands of toasters before, especially because at our house we love thick toasts and crumpets! I’m very happy with this toaster! Would love to get the four slice toaster as it would be more practical for us. Super pretty and makes perfect toasts!

Perfectly toasted
Love the overall look and feel of the toaster. The dial is easily adjustable. Tried the toast dial on various setting with 3 being my preferred toast level. Toast was evenly toasted on both sides with the bread still nice and soft on the inside. Very happy.

Modern and sleek
The Russell Hobbs Stone Textured 2 Slice Toaster has a nice modern and sleek look to match any new contemporary home. It was easy to take out and set up on my bench top, not taking up too much room. The functions on this toaster include a removable crumb tray, defrost, high lift and reheat. I really appreciated the high lift allowing me to check the progress of my toast, not having to worry about getting it over done thanks to the adjustable browning control. The buttons illuminate when pressed making it easy to see as well. Overall, a great looking toaster with functions well thought out for convenience. My toast came up a treat, cooked perfectly to each person’s liking and i found, quicker overall compared to my old one with wide slots for larger slices and crumpets.

Some good features
I found the browning feature really hard to get right even after many attempts. Toast too dark, too light, crumpets too light, still trying to find the perfect levels. The wider slots were eealky good for cafe style bread. The overall look of the toaster was nice, color and contradt trims and it was fairly light in weight. We did have to be gentle pushing the lever down as slightly too much pressure meant the toaster became off balance.

Does the job, but I wasn’t blown away
Opening the box I was quite impressed. It looked sleek and modern but after using it a number of times I felt it wasn’t any better than some of the less pricey brands on the market. When you press down the lever to lower the bread you need to forcefully push it otherwise it just keeps popping back up. It does cook quite quickly. We had it set to 3.5, however it doesn’t really cook evenly. We noticed the edges were always nearly burnt while the middle of the bread was just lightly toasted. We didn’t use the reheating or defrost functions as we have never needed these in the past. The instruction manual was very thorough, lots of information on how to operate the toaster, although it really is just like any other toaster so very easy to use. It looks nice and works as a toaster should but I don’t know if I would pay the rrp if I was on the lookout for a new toaster.

So cool! Love the texture look.
Was in desperate needs for a new toaster, and this one is a treat! My experience with this one is that it cooks quickly and evenly, our crumpets, toast and waffles.... MMmm this sure is making me hungry! And the colour and texture just makes it look and feel stylish in my kitchen! Going to get the matching Kettle now.
